TSCLT 11.0: The pantheon hates a pussy!!!

How high are you flying them?

:nana:

Base altitude is ~5000 ft. There are some communities out here with 8000 ft base altitude. I've driven as high as 10,750 ft. and you can feel the power drop off............dramatically. Obviously the supercharged vehicles do better but even they start running out of air.

I think the highest point in West Virginia is only about 4800 feet. It's on the same ridge I am on, but way south. Our average here is about 2500 feet.

Good morning! Up late then up early means BT will need a nap today. She can be a lazy wench, when she's not spinning like a top doing the work of 3 ppl. I have no idea why she's talking in 3rd person this morning; could it be the "real" BT is still asleep?

I just ate what has to be the worst cinnamon rolls ever baked.

Now I feel a little queasy. I will try to self-medicate with coffee.

I can't and therefore don't, eat anything sweet for breakfast. Pancakes, waffles, anything of the like, for me, on an empty stomach, will make me nauseous. Don't get me wrong, I love those foods, but they generally aren't worth feeling ill for a couple of hours until my system rights itself.

I only worry about Preston and Tucker counties. You other counties can rub your own lucky totems.

Awful color my ass. That's maroon, the fifth Acceptable Vehicle Color, and Wat lets silver stay just barely because it's basically another shade of gray. All manner of anvils from the late 30s to the early 50s were (more or less) that shade of maroon, and as a Major Collector, Wat knows a thing or two about anvils and Conservative Colors.

Like suit colors. There are three acceptable ones: black, navy, and charcoal. Wanna be different? Think: pinstripes. And I miss JG ties, too. :(

Mom is coming to visit, go for a ride, and help me collect the other truck. It is now either the Old Truck or the Little Truck. Maybe like the old cat, it can be the Little Old Truck.

I wonder what she'll want for lunch . . . .

Those Beloved Washington Football Team players are beating the Tom Bradys. Despite themselves.

Well I don't believe it! I get to gloat for a week. This is Pixburg Squealer country and they are in OT with an 0-8 team. That must suck for Squealer fans.

Also... the places where the VA clipped some stuff out of my throat is healed and tonight was the first squirt of steroids up ma nose. What an awful feeling. I could never be a coke head.

Strange football weekend. Cincy did well by taking the week off. The Ravings lost a game they took off, too. Clee played like they still suck. And Pitt looks like they're about ready for the fork. TB didn't go backward because NO dropped a game they likely shouldn't have. And the Cards have dropped another one. There's always hope for the Raiders, right??? :D ;)

Mom wanted Italian for lunch. She likes that restaurant, the one east of here. I was feeling kinda puny after lunch and lay down to take a nap, and three hours later . . . .

Still not on my game.

Properly prepared, there are no bad ingredients. I'm not a fan of Kale. I had a salad at my new spot with roasted Brussel Sprouts, Pine Nuts, Feta, and Crispy Kale drizzled with a Balsamic Vinegar Reduction. The Kale was really good.

I had an Espresso Martini. I don't drink Coffee, ever. I loved it.

I've found my place.

They've got a full menu till 1:30 in the morning and a lot of waitresses, bartenders and Cooks hang out there which is what made me want to try it.

Happy Monday!!! Slept pretty well. Was done with it a bit before the alarm, but that's okay.

I found some Mopar steps I can get. The biggest reason I can think of for dropping the extra $60 for them is, they should really fit. And with a little bit of luck, they should really last, too. So I guess that I'll drop the order form this weekend so they can (maybe) show up next weekend. And please note the bitchin' steps on the Power Wagon.

I did see one running board ad talking about the "new, stylish, flat" boards look and was, of course, reminded of every car made from 90+ years ago. So much for "new."

This coffee is new. Good, too . . . .

I love a Kale/Collard green mix, slow cooked with some red pepper flakes, powdered chicken and water. Then drained and drenched in balsamic.

Give me a break. Health nuts don't even like kale.
I had some in a soup yesterday. Horrible soup...

What's better than wining a game and moving to the top of your division
from the basement of the division? Spanking, just schooling, The Raiders.

Made my evening. I even recorded it. It might be worth watching again,
just to glow and bask in the sweet warmth of victory.
And best yet, it was on the road.
Got to win the road games.

I only care that the Beloved Football Team finally won!

I've been eating wasabi peas since 4am. No wonder my throat is wrecked. And I really don't like to squirt that stuff up my nose.

Baseball Madden's formula was to win half your road games and 2/3 of your home games. His teams made it look good when it happened.

41-14 is my favorite ass-whuppin' score. It has symmetry, it's 7 scores to 2, and if you're the 14, you just got yer ass whipped old-school. Shows you weren't hopeless, but that you got mauled. And the winner won but didn't pile on too badly. Had to settle for two FGs. I mean, 56-3 is just awful.

Feeling a little perkier today. Not a lot, but some. I'll take what I can get.

Got to be honest -- during the first quarter, I kept groaning to myself,
holy shit, here we go again, but then they gradually got their act together...

A first-place schedule is a tough SOB; not too many easy games.
Basically, just the losers in your own division.
