TSCLT 7.0: Hemis, Harleys, Hooters-n-Harridans

Consistency is good, it can even lead to stereotyping...

;) ;)

I think that it is time for that second cup of coffee.

The good morning news is telling me that this is National Potato Day.
Is this what our elected leaders do all day long???

Consistency is good, especially for those aspiring for the Lifetime Weasel Award.

It has all the magnificence of an elementary school self-esteem award . . . . Maybe a bit less.

If one is to have a potato day, then one needs to Quayle it.

National PotatoE Day.

Back to school season, and the news is interviewing soccer moms, tears aflowing, about how terrible it is that their kids have to practice active shooter drills. FFS, YOUR parents had to practice getting under their desks at the first sign of a nuclear explosion.

Buck up mom. Your little snot blower has a much greater chance of being killed in your mini-van because you're texting and driving.

I remember doing those drills, I also remember target assessments and knowing how useless those drills were.

And the coffee is really good today.

Good observations...

Don't forget it is the season of parents forgetting kids in cars
thus ending their precious little lives.

I don’t remember participating in any nuclear drills in school. I remember a bunch of fire drills and tornado drills, though. Then, in high school, they started having drills for bomb threats. Crazy times.

All we had was fire drills.

Sometimes.

My grade 1-4 school was in a big old house, and that place was a fire trap.

Last time I rode through there, it was still there, so . . . .

Did you see the news the other day where that 12 year old busted a window to save a child locked in a car?

I remember those drills.

Then again, I was in school during the time of the Cuban Missile Crises...

We didn't have those drills. Of course from 1952 onwards I lived on or near a SAC base. No one even bothered to pretend that there was a chance.

We did a class about how to assess targets followed by the nuclear drill, even a bunch of elementary kids knew it was a waste of time. We were across from Detroit and near three chemical valleys, then you have the actual government targets.

We also did tornado drills, fire/bomb evacuation drills, and shooter drills. It was a good waste of time. Today I think most kids would just follow the crowd outside and take pictures..
