Happy Friday!!!

Yeah, the new digs are good. I sleep well here. Being busy helps that, but also not having a whirring mind helps, too. But, alas, this is temporary.

This job shows promise to wrap up by the end of the year, as advertised.

Meanwhile, coffee . . . .

I think 90% of mechanics are honest, most of the other 10% work for someone or a big box of someones who care about profit and will screw over or fire their employees for another buck.

Your kittehs will love exploring all the little nooks at the new place Wat, I hope you're ready for expert level hide and seek.

I think that most people are honest enough, and that, perhaps, technicians maybe more honest than businessfolks, the ones who have to politic as part of their jobs.

But honesty hits a wall when it runs full-face into Self Interest.

Just about time to face my own self-interested weasels. It will be a peopley filled day, I use a mini-trampoline at my standing desk and bounce to annoy the really bad ones lol

I have a big travel weekend on the calendar, so today will be a power-nap day.

At least I grilled some good, meaty pork ribs to help set the mood.
I had some sweet corn too, but it was not all that sweet and a little tough.
So today, I'll have some instant taters and gravy to help set the mood for napping.

I have made arrangements for the dogs to be taken care of in-home.
Chickens will have a full feeder and extra water and
hummingbird feeders will be topped off.
Migration should be starting.
They are all over the crepe myrtle.

How are Mexicans not larger people? This burro could feed me for a couple of days.

Home - my house. With cats.

It's Sleep Study sleep-over night.

I didn't study, so I'm winging it.

Grazing in . . . .

Usual breakfast with the Feds this AM. Some interesting shit coming down.

Picked up a magazine plug and some ammo for the new shotgun. Also got it cleaned up. Looks rather purty if I do say so.

Good morning, and what a beautiful morning it is.

Chance of rain in the forecast from this evening on through the weekend. Fine by me, I'm still on the tidying up campaign.

Happy Saturday!!!

Home from the study. Fed the cats. They were pissed, but not so pissed that they refused to eat.

I got a mask last night, and a bunch of electrodes. There's goop in my hair to wash out.

Good thing there were no small children at the convenience store that I stopp at for coffee, or they might have got skeert. I forgot my hat . . . . But the bike gets outta the hospital today, so . . . .

I've seen a few cool cars this week. There was a '40 two-door sedan at the orange box store a few days ago. The rest was '60s stuff.

There was a two-fer while getting gas yesterday morning. A '60 Frod ragtop was over near the air pump. There was an A-bone rat rod getting gas. I couldn't see it because I was there to get gas, too, and not to scope out rat rods.

I don't think that it has any paint. It was that rusty "patina" finish - by Mother Nature. And then I after a few minutes, I heard something cranking. It sounded way different, and like it was working - on high compression. The ragtop guy was looking, so I followed his head. It was the A-bone. It fired, and he started to move, and I could see the built flathead through the missing lower hood panels. That was where all the money for Shiny Stuff had gone - the entire budget. He had straight pipes on it. He wheeled it around the lot, pulled out into traffic, and got on it a little bit.

Totally fucking righteous!!!!

Not thinking about anything is zen. Once you know this, walking, standing, sitting, or lying down, everything you do is zen. To know that the mind is empty is to see the Buddha...Using the mind to look for reality is delusion. Not using the mind to look for reality is awareness. Freeing oneself from words is liberation.

Got the bike back. All is wondemous. It's ready to go out and pound some fucking pavement. Do some distance. All that silliness. And all in a wondemous way.

Got a nap to rest up from the sleep study.

I'm wondering if I can hem these critters in to make a road trip with them tomorrow.

I'm about due to be that insane.

Got a ride in. I cruised a section of roads I haven't been on in many years, over on the other side of town. We used to ride that asphalt half to death. It's all still there, with some new houses added in where they developed some of the woods. They also added some new traffic lights.

The bike did great.

Oh, and there used to be a vibration at 80MPH, and it ain't there no more.

It didn't move to 90, either.

Another day in the bag. I got done what I wanted to get done.

Years ago I worked with an East Indian Oncologist that taught me some mental tricks to calm the mind. He said, "Some would call it meditation but they're really just thought exercises that work." I still use them to this day when required.

Had a nice outing with the Saturday Night Crew. Sat and chatted until way too late.

Tomorrow is when it gets interesting . . . .

Good morning.

Got the day all planned out, weather permitting. Some wood that needs to be sawed and shaped. More stuff to be put up and the last weed spraying of the year (if the rain holds off that is).

Time to start panning a little trip up to the mountains as well. The Elk rut should start in a couple of weeks and I want to shoot some video of that. No hunting this year unless I can cut a deal with the ranch I hunted at last year. Entered three drawings this year and didn't get a damn one. This coming year I may decide to hunt up in Idaho.

Happy Saturday!!! Slept in a bit. Kinda had that one coming.

Debating whether to go to Wally's or to catch that after payday during the week, since I get to come home this week for a doctor's appointment. I'm leaning that way.And I'm leaning towards moving the cats in a few weeks and not today.

Remnds me of a joke: which Miss 'Murrika contestant is the prostitute?

I may hit the Home Depot store today. I have one last piece of shelving left gut I need the supports. I'll make that decision after I see if I need some more room after I finish rearranging stuff. Of I may just do it now so I won't have to do it later when I accumulate more tools.

I have to deal with the trunk of my car too. I have a box of odds and ends in there that I haven't even looked at in 2 years. Out of sight, out of mind. I have a new cooler that will fit in there if I get rid of the crap that's taking up space. <shrug>
