Twenty Somethings

Guess who's back!!

I can't believe how many new faces are on this thread...of course I have been gone for like months and months...but I'm glad to see most of the usual suspects are still in attendance.

Well MY news...let's see...I graduated...I have a masters degree...go me. I moved to Florida...which I never thought would happen..Florida's for old people right? I love it though. I found a job. I work in Finance...a history major in a finance job...what on earth were they thinking?? I turn 25 next month, which sorta freaks me out...5 years from 30 and there's so much I want to accomplish before then..***** goes by too quickly. I haven't seen a good movie in months. I bought a condo and have a MORTGAGE!! I've become addicted to peanut butter. I love working, but seriously...this salary totally sucks. But to be honest...I'm really happy. Really really happy.

Anyway...I don't know how often I'll be on...but I just wanted to check on everyone and talk about myself a bit!! Talk to ya'll later!!!

 xoxo

Wow, strangely enough, I've become rather obsessed and addicted to eating peanut butter toast sandwiches a lot lately. Mom says it's good for you, but for some reason, at the back of my mind, I remember hearing or reading about how peanut butter can get stuck to your insides, and that's a bad thing.

Anyhow, I've been back at my job I was working at before they laid me off on Christmas break. I'm looking to move into an apartment in a few weeks, but something tells me it seems a bit early to take on living at an apartment by myself while I have to currently pay out of my pocket for my college education, at least for a few semesters hopefully. I'm already scheduled to check out an apartment after work (I work 3rd shift) Tuesday morning, so I sort of can't wait to see if it'll be worth it.

Yeah, it is amazing how specific degree majors end up in a job that has NOTHING to do with the major in the first place, but hey, a manager position is a lot better than what I've done in my entire life. I've applied for assistant manager positions for customer service since I have the experience (roughly 4 years), but apparently, it's not enough experience.

Well, congrats on your life... can't believe I've been hitting on a 34 year old woman though... Oh well, as if I never flirt with the more mature women in my social life.

And now we return to our previous afternoon special, the homework.

Holy shit, what part of Florida, My? I just moved down there myself to -start- school (finally, hehe)

Good to see things are goin well for ya!

Man, strange though, all that stalker talk before... /grins... Just kiddin! I came here of my own accord =)

You don't have to be timid!

I'd be fine with the non-seeing stuff part of it, but that's just me......

Yeah, you're right... I got this new mouse that lets me press the right side button and a magnifier pops up and I have to say, Nice pink taco.... it must be extremely rare.

Well y'all, I've been living in my new apartment for about a week now. It's actually great to finally be on my own. Sure, mom says it was money that I didn't need to spend, but I guess I wanted to try something new. I'm not 100% moved in yet. I still need to furnish the apartment with a bed, kitchen table and chairs, at least basic tv channels, and the internet. TV and Internet may be awhile unless I find a better paying job soon.

I guess I have to be lucky my mom supplied me with some food that should last me a few weeks, til I get the first month's rent and some other things settled first.

Anyhow, I'm over here at my mom's using the laundry room and checking my emails and such. Just thought I'd pop in and let ya'll know what's going on.

Isn't living on your own lovely! Sometimes I miss having a roommate but not having to deal with drama or only talking when I want to and especially not having to clean up after anyone but myself.

Hope you enjoy it as much as I do! :)

I love living on my own. I don't have to worry about the mess or if the bills will get paid on time. But what I love the best is being able to walk from my bathroom to the laundry room naked when I need something.... :)

That is a wonderful bonus. Or just not getting dressed at all somedays

And her stalker loves it too! ;)

I do have room mates, but I have my own bathroom in my room, with my own shower, so I don't really have to worry about much unless I'm hungry, but as soon as I get my minifridge, its on! Not sure why, but I have two sinks in my room, one in the bathroom, one just outside of it with a water filter on the tap, hehe, so no worries about getting a drink!

Hi there. I am twenty-five, almost twenty-six. I am a postgraduate student with one postgrad degree already, and will be in postgrad work for at least another year, well on my way to the awesome credential of 'fulltime professional student' aka 'thirty-year-old slacker.'

I don't know what the hell happened after I turned twenty-one. I mean, I know things happened, but I don't remember them. My parents say this only gets worse as you get older. Anyone else having twentysomething-onset amnesia? :)

i think living on your own is a very important experience, teaches you a lot about yourself, about life, etc. ... i shared an apartment with someone else for a few years, but now it's been over two years that i am living on my own, and it would be quite tough for me to have to share again (moving back to my mom would be almost impossible, we'd probably argue all the time)... with the exception of moving in with a partner maybe.

Hell, I don't remember much before last year, specifically. It's all a bit of a blur.
