Twenty Somethings

hi! well i got through the flight well and the lines are fascinating (the nazca lines are several thousand year old geographical designs and animal drawings on the desert floor, can only really be seen from the air...) but i got quite sick due to the plane constantly leaning to one side or the other so we could see the lines better... but anyway yes it was a lot less bumpy than i expected...

so you fly exciteher? cool... a friend of mine learned it while ago and wanted to invite me for a flight but i was a bit scared... well due to some love-trouble with her teacher she ended up never making her license anyway...

Good to see you had a safe flight, Muna. Just counting down the days till school start. I got nine days left. *sighs* Summer is almost over...

I'll have you know my Summer is already over. I just started classes today. It was a long day today. Aside from homework, I need to find things to do in between classes. 3 hours first two, and 2 hours 45 min. between the second and last class. Hopefully a work study job can do me some favors. If there's anything available.

Anyhow, I have some serious shopping to do. For starters, I gotta get me one of those USB 256 MB memory sticks for my Computer Graphics class. I think my computer graphics class is going to be really awesome. I gotta come up almost $400 for my textbooks too. I would've gotten used books, but they ended up getting sold out WAY before I had a chance. So all my books have to be new.

Anyhow, Hope everyone's having a good end of the summer at least. I was hoping to go to the fair, but it doesn't look like it will be happening.

Munachi, yeah, was raised on a ranch, a lot of people fly back in Arizona. Was flying before I could drive, got my student ticket at 14, soloed on my 16th b-day, and my private on my 17th b-day. Don't blame you for being hesitant to fly with your friend.. flying lessions and love-trouble with the instructor...now that paints a picture, lol!

Wow, those high desert plains can have a lot of thermals and can be very turbulent, so glad to hear it was not too choppy, but sorry to heart you got sick from the turns, hope it did not ruin it all for you. What was your impression of the Nazca Lines?? Did anything really stand out for you ? There have been so many theorys about what they are or mean. Did you get any insight at all into what they are or why they were made??? It must have been amazing to see them.

They were quite interesting... I think my mom (with whom I am currently traveling for a few weeks) liked them best as she had read a lot about them... I haven't read quite as much but we also went to some presentations about them and the different theories of why they had been made... A mixture of astronomical calendar and place of worship (they say that shamans were supposed to see them from above when they are in trance and they souls are thus "flying") sounds most likely to me... It is quite impressive, when you are high up in the air and you really see those huge shapes, and realize that each figure is huge, and how much work and precision it must have taken to create them...

Getting sick didn't spoil it though I guess without that I would have enjoyed it more... My mom didn't have problem but in turn she now got some altitude sickness as we traveled to the Colca Canyon the last two days, while I am here long enough to not have too many problems with that... I guess I prefer climbing on mountains to look down on things, instead of airplanes, though a little bit of flying can be exciting at times.

LOL...I know what you're feeling HC....cept I started classes a week ago...at least you got a week more of summer vacation than I did.

To be honest...I bought 6 books for my classes this semester and all but one was used and I ended up spending over $350. I think textbook prices have just gotten WAY out of hand. I'm a college student for goodness sake...

Hope you get a good work study job...avoid the cafeteria if you have any self preservation left ;)

That won't help Gemini...you'll know where it is if you hide it....

My,

You going to have any more lovely pictures to look at? Better yet, can I live with you? I promise I'll be fun to have around.

it cant be that hard for you My, I'm pretty sure you would look flattering in any pic. love the pic you have up now too by the way. oh yeah and school sucks, I'm not even through the first week here and I already want to skip all my classes.

I guess I'll be joining the I hate classes club in two weeks. Trying to get as much relaxation as I can between now and when school starts.

No, I'm not getting tired of it. I just love your body. I would really love to see more of it. Which is why I asked if I could live with you? I PROMISE I'll be fun to have around. Or would you rather we got to know each other more first?

I really hope though, that the difficulty has its rewards in the end though.

Talk to you later, love! :rose:

hello all... hello icedtfett and nessitude... here all is fine, spent the last two days on the islands of lake titicaca... but my camera broke which really really annoys me... BUT tonight I will finally see the guy I am currently seeing again... have to go to the bus station at 4 am to pick him up... and then go back to the hotel with him...

Sorry to hear about your camera, Muna. I guess you are still enjoying your vacation? I wish Monday would get here my new laptop charger comes. I hate being on the house desktop. Can only Lit in the early morning.

Already in that grind. I'm also in search of another job. I'm still working, luckily, but I just need another job. I had an interview to work 3rd shift at McDonald's. They haven't gotten back with me yet, but the lady who interviewed me told me not to give up on her. She says I'm a good candidate.

Other than that, I'm still searching around for jobs.

Hope y'all are having fun somehow.
