You didn't. I've been checking on this thread waiting for others to post. I'm not sure why, but this thread has seemed to always move on the slow side despite everyone really wanting to do it.

If it takes much longer for a response and/or it becomes clear it's over I'll prob try my hand at starting a thread like this cause it's a great idea.

OK, slow moving is fine. I know everyone was talking about ending the fight, but no one is taking the lead on that.

Maybe we could set up a Discord group so we can chat about the thread there. I've used Discord for other group and individual threads. It's great because if people are online at the same time, we can chat in real time. Also, I can't get on Lit at work, so being able to set things up on Discord, figuring out where the story is going, who is posting next etc works out pretty well.

I'm sorry guys I had a busy week and my post hasn't been finished. Thanks go to JSB, HF, and Desperado for caring enough to keep us rolling.

Desperado you wrote a good post finishing the fight for us but it means I'll need to do some rewriting on my unfinished post. No big deal. Just a paragraph needs adjusting to fit what you wrote.

I'll get to it and try to move us forward as well.

Yeah cause it seemed to me that the Silverpike has 2 ballistae, but only one of them were manned and fired. So Jon used the other one.

That took longer than I thought and was more work to try and include everyone, but I think I managed to get everyone that posted. Though I did wind up cutting it shorter than I anticipated to give our newcomers a chance to organically socialize and introduce themselves to the rest of the group.

As far as what will happen next I figure we roll on a random encounter table. What do you guys say to being waylaid during the night by Sahaugin raiders, Or we can get attacked by some Sea Harpies? That or the sea hag that's pissed at us could always send a bunch of water elementals to fuck with Saldea and by extension us?

So did we ever go over what my guy's symbol actually meant, and why it would draw the Darktow pirates' ire? And what of the people in cages? Did we ever establish if it was worth it, from a sense of right vs. wrong, to go all "lawful stupid" to save them?

EDIT: Actually I have something in mind for the first two questions.

I don't think we've setttled on that yet Desperado.

I am toying with the idea that the people in cages isn't what it appears, but a front to smuggle people onto Darktow for some reason I haven't figured out yet.

As for the paladins I kinda like what you said...just need some developing on the idea of how they work out of darktow but aren't attacked and wiped out by the pirates there that would outnumber them by a large margin.

Maybe she snuck in to the other pirates' camp one night, slit the leaders' throats and declared herself Queen of Darktow Island? Either that or there's some sort of alliance or agreement involved, maybe even one based on sex between her and the other pirate leader(s). And the people in cages idea you have sounds pretty good to me.

I don't think the plank king of darktow would do that. Also the pirates of darktow are an alliance of different factions with the plank king precariously positioned as hegemon over them. There's some real dirty political intrigue constantly going on between those factions and with plank king being like Chancellor palpatine over top of them playing them all.

I really don't know how Jon's Ex will fit in with that.

Well maybe they keep her around cause she's good in bed. Or does things the average wench won't.

Sure sleep with her if she's offering, promise her whatever. But this is down and dirty politics from some pretty unscrupulous people. So why wouldn't they sleep with her and then stab her in the back the morning after and kill all those annoying paladins that follow her?

I mean its like Game of Thrones all the time there.

That's just it though, she's no longer a Paladin. She's a pirate. And maybe in addition to sex, she uses her position as former head of Jon's Order to help the rest of the Darktovians stay one step ahead of them.

Huh...maybe she could be an oathbreaker paladin rather than a conquest one?

I think that might fit the type of person you're describing. That actually might be an interesting thing...

I was thinking she got bent so badly that she's basically no longer a Paladin at all, but if she has to be one, Oathbreaker sounds appropriate to the situation.

I like the Oathbreaker, Having Fallen from her former position and maybe now a Warlock, Making a Pact with some creature in hopes to bring ruin to her old order

AS for Random Encounter, I like all those.

Also I forgot to mention but Priscilla is pretty much making sure her stuff drys out when she can, and has no sense of bounderies. Ie Steals food outta other peoples stuff ect.
