Custom boots (fuck Dan Posts and all the rest of the commercial crap) with a tall shaft and a good sheath behind the anklebone.

I have a pair of English hunt style boots (the ones that tie in front of the ankle) with a sheath in each but the handle sticks up and shows. That's not good for city work even under jeans. (which make it impossible to get to the knife anyway.)

I have 2 pairs of Luccheses, which I like. The jeans have to be hiked up, but that's not the end of the world. Easier if I'm in the truck, but I have more options there anyway. It's a thought.

Welcome, All, to another joyous morning (yes, I really said that and I really mean it) awakening under the Blanket of Freedom here in The Land Of The Free And The Home Of The Brave. It is a place where we have rights to free association with one another and where we can (allegedly) share ideas and observations about how the world works and the people in it.


And then there are those for whom Life is one big old unjust trigger after another, where outrage that anyone marches to the beat of a different drummer is not only a travesty but is some kind of egregious effrontery. These are the triggers that try the souls of weak men and bitter women - sad, but inevitably true as say follow night. For them, there is a way out, but that means the toughest challenge of all: admitting that their cases are truly hopeless. So they continue to be/get triggered until the misery becomes unbearable agony.
