What are you Netflix Binge Watching Now?

Ones I'm following right now are:

-Gotham-
Contemporary prequel to the Batman franchise detailing the main villains' rises to power. Obviously written by loyal Batman enthusiasts and has the best child actors I've ever seen to date. 7.9.

I also started but apparently forgot about two murder mystery series' I was following...

I'm glad someone else is taken with Gotham. My favorite issue of any comic has always been the origin story. And this is like a years-long origin story.

Do you watch the new ones???

Jessica Jones was freaking brilliant - though content warning: PTSD and abuse. And, you know, super hero violence.

If you're into comedy that's more profound than funny (I know, it's a strange category) I recommend both Louie (by Louis CK) and Master of None (by Aziz Ansari). You think they're funny, and they often are, but they use the humor to disguise the thought provoking brick they're going to hit you over the head with.

Also really enjoyed Flaked with Will Arnett. Had some really nice twists.

All of these are Netflix originals that only have one season though. Still, nice when you're not quite sure what to dig into long term.

If you're looking for a lot of seasons, then yes, Supernatural will keep you busy for a while. But I'll be honest... After season 5, it started slipping. It seems every season is another brother fight about one lying or coming back from the dead (again).

Currently binging Psych. Pretty lighthearted, good for unwinding at the end of the day.

Ooo, also all the old X-Files are Netflix. Fabulous for being a little afraid to turn off the lights while simultaneously laughing at 90s fashion.

EDIT: And Good Eats. It's basically Bill Nye the Science Guy meets a cooking show. Hilarious and educational.

trailer park boys, season 10...episode 8.

i just wish mr leahey and randy could find their happily ever after <3

I'm putting off the last two episodes of Lost Girl because I'm not ready for it to be over yet. Jessica Jones was pretty good but the erratic sound levels were a PITA. Tried to like that rancher comedy with Sam Elliot but even his voice couldn't save it from the stupidity of Ashton Kutcher. Waiting for Orange to come back in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, I'm about to beg Master to subscribe to Acorn. I have a craving for some BBC treats and there seem to be several I haven't seen.

I am soooo bored!

Are there any other fans of Grace and Frankie here? I try to keep myself to watching no more than two episodes at a time, and one if I can manage. I want to make it last.

I just watched the first episode the other night...I'm still laughing just thinking about it. :D

Season 1 or 2? I managed to watch only episode 1 in season 2 so far. The first season was so incredibly good that I want to savor this second one.

i just finished my third go around of the entire... so far... Defender's series- both seasons of Daredevil and the one season of Jennifer Jones.... D'onofrio's Wilson Fisk is incredible... that was yesterday and now i am 1/2 of the way through the Zeitgeist movies...

The very first season. :D
I don't often have a TV on, so it was refreshing to get a laugh.

I just started binge watching this Sunday. It's tender and funny and hopeful and painful.

Like you, I'm trying to slow it down because I'm home full-time right now and it's too easy to watch them all in a row...I think I'm on episode 6 now. I break it up with some Brooklyn 99. :D

There is one weak character in late Season 1. Will be interested if you see it the same way.

I really like it (huge Lily Tomlin fan since the days of Laugh-In) but Master gets cranky because of Jane Fonda. I slip an episode on once in a while. I could watch it all day on my own. Oh well, this way I get to savor it in sips.

LOVE grace and Frankie, it's absolutely hilarious. Anxiously awaiting the new season of orange is the new black.

I just finished watching all 4 seasons of Call the Midwife. Before that it was 6 seasons of Republic of Doyle.

I'm caught between wanting to watch Midsomer Murders, and Rosemary & Thyme. So I picked Death in Paradise. :)
