I’m talking about a person who is easily in their 70s and has a position and not a casual. When you can’t even do the basic it’s time to gracefully bow out and give a kid who wants to pay off his/her student loans. In fact I know some kick ass young casuals dying for a position.

Let’s suppose I’m 75 and I’m working full time and I have a system that allows me access not only to appointments with us but with different clinics and hospitals on the same system. I cancel your future appointment but in my haste I delete all your future appointments. Few days later you drive up to the city for your appointment that was booked with a specialist 6 months ago only to be told hey your appointment was cancelled with no reason and that slot was given to someone else. You’re also 84 years old. Bet you would love it

Also people in not an ageist. I work in senior health. I literally have a client who gives me fistful of candy every time he comes to our facility for his appointment like I’m 7 years old. My fav is 102 who’s still of a sound mind and drives without glasses

I work pretty closely with an engineer who is 91. He does micro-circuit design in Cad and Visio. He shows up every day at 7, leaves at 3 and is sharp as a tac. He's brilliant.

He runs a farm alone, hunts alone.
His wife passed 20 years back and he's nothing else to do.

Dude's my fucking hero.
