Finished Blood Meridean last night.
Took 6 months. Almost 7.

Now that I've seen your corrected post, yes, it is a backhanded compliment. But it is still a compliment. I actually have that exact thought many times. And I do find myself thinking "wow, she's very pretty for her age." But I would never tell a woman that, because with the qualifier, it can almost seem like an insult. Is being told you’re book pretty (pretty in a bookish way) a compliment or a back handed compliment? (No one said this to me it’s a description of a girl in a book).
Oh, hell yeah. I've never seen a study on it, but I would bet that most straight red-blooded American men actually prefer a somewhat conservative looking girl-next-door type to the totally plastic, clown-makeup porn skank type.Pretty in a bookish way?
I love glasses on a nerdy looking girl.
And in the midwest too soooooooNow that I've seen your corrected post, yes, it is a backhanded compliment. But it is still a compliment. I actually have that exact thought many times. Like with you, I think, "wow, she's so fun and funny and cute for someone so shy."
Fixed it for you.I am thinking the political board threads are good hunting grounds
Definitely. And in the midwest too sooooooo
Well it is a diet bookThe Body Book mobile ad creators are delusional if they think they’re gonna sell a diet book with their girl in front of a plate of 2 sad, cold, empty rolled up corn tortillas and a handful of grapes. Who the fuck eats plain corn tortillas and grapes together?!
Nasty weather wise or Nasty another way? lolI'm thinking what a nasty day it is!!
Way to ruin my corn tortilla and grape lunch meal I prepared today lolThe Body Book mobile ad creators are delusional if they think they’re gonna sell a diet book with their girl in front of a plate of 2 sad, cold, empty rolled up corn tortillas and a handful of grapes. But like…if they want to actually sell it, shouldn’t it feature food combinations that actually taste good together? Any idiot can take two random, separate low-calorie foods and put them on a plate, but that doesn’t make it a good snack. They don’t work well together structurally either. Tortillas have about as much carbs as bread too, they’re just flattened to a higher density. Even grapes with cold cuts and sliced cheese like a mini charcuterie plate would have been betterWell it is a diet book![]()
You’ll always be younger than meI’m old. That is all.
Who knows what was going on in their head, but I usually err on the benefit of the doubt side and assume they had good intentions with a compliment. They were likely just trying to be descriptive or are awkward. Is being told you’re book pretty (pretty in a bookish way) a compliment or a back handed compliment? You know me so wellobviously someone doesnt like her snacks fucked with lol
Please stop it. I haven't eaten yet.But like…if they want to actually sell it, shouldn’t it feature food combinations that actually taste good together? <snip>. And I get it, I know it’s a numbers game. I am just wondering if there’s anything more I can do in order to get that 90% to just like 70% lol. Thanks for reading. I just needed to vent a little.
BFG, I actually sent @CincyGurl66 a PM a couple hours ago. So hopefully you will vouch for me that I'm a decent guy to chat with. Not really, because the problem isn't what you're doing. This falls squarely on their shoulders.
It's frustrating to say "not looking for anything like that" and be told "me, either!" Only for them to start pushing that boundary three messages later.
Be firm and don't tolerate it. If they do it once, it will continue. Save yourself the aggravation; ignore early, ignore often.
That is debatable. LolBFG, I actually sent @CincyGurl66 a PM a couple hours ago. So hopefully you will vouch for me that I'm a decent guy to chat with.![]()

I definitely would not recommend investing in an extinct species. However, if you happen to find a mating pair in the wild somewhere, you might get rich enough to start your own video chat platform.Maybe I should invest in carrier pigeons
In a past life, I endured a professional reprogram that removed my tendency to leave things be.Putting stuff away is the most boring thing ever...
Thanks so much. <3Not really, because the problem isn't what you're doing. This falls squarely on their shoulders.

Oh my God. Emptying the dishwasher. Putting away laundry. In a past life, I endured a professional reprogram that removed my tendency to leave things be.
So now I get a bit of a buzz from organization.
But the idea of it bores me too.
