My smile for today was a trip to the library. He carried my book bag back home, because it was so heavy and my arms are absolutely hurting from all the painting and carrying the boards I've been doing this week at my friend's house.

That is the great thing about doing this at my age, with no "attachments" I've pretty much had nothing but positive support.

Of course I haven't mentioned to the people who normally speak negatively that I'm in the process of either stepping down or quitting the McJob all together, but fuck them anyway, eh?

We went yard sale-ing today in the city 30 miles south of us, which was having a citywide yard sale.

She got $20 from the ATM (she seldom carries cash, except when yard sale-ing), and through the day borrowed bits and pieces from me. Each time she got up to $20, we hit the ATM again. (It's a small town, perhaps 4 square miles.) She had to replenish her original $20 three separate times. She came home essentially broke.

I spent a total of $12.00 for things I wanted all day, $8 of which was on books (7 hardback, 4 paperback) at one sale, and another $2 on books at other sales.

I have to admit, though, that she totally scored on art supplies of various types, several pair of jeans, a couple or three sweaters, and GOK what else.
