Fark's headline: "Protip for photographers: You may want to choose an angle that does NOT obscure the 'C' in CANALFEST. Just sayin'"

I love fark.com. I go there almost as often as I come to Lit.

Holding a plank for 2 minutes. And my shoulder didn't crack.
Three silly push-ups, man style. But my shoulder still didn't crack.
Next stop: chest fly without my shoulder making me cry like the girl I am.

We found a large cast-iron pot and three cast-iron pans (one small, one regular and one with four small slots for blinis or pancakes) at a flea market today.
The pot is in an excellent condition, looks like it's never even been used. The pans are old and will need some loving before I can use them, but they'll be just great after I've scrubbed them a bit and burned the grease off.
A quick google search just told me, that the manufacturing of the pot stopped a year ago, and then it was sold for 84 euros. For the pot and 3 pans we paid whopping 13 euros. Score!![]()

Cool trip on horizon.
Me am want Corona. Waves.
Getting some half decent writing done, and having enough left over inspiration to write a love letter to my honeys.![]()

Spent the evening drinking martinis with a fellow 30 Rock fan - frequently breaking into the 'ham song'.

Okay, my smile for today is being reminded that the ham song exists. Time to break out them 30 Rock dvds.![]()

Yeahhhh... ran into that yesterday. Spent a bit of time watching it myself. A couple of times.I think I must just be really into the Olympics this year. Because I've been watching this pretty much all day.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm.
After a long run of really busy, I took a detour and checked into a hotel instead of racing home as I had intended. I indulged a very long hot shower and then ordered room service that included a perfectly grilled garlicky NY strip steak, roasted red taters, crisp baby asparagus, and for dessert a beautiful berry and whipped cream covered molten fudge chocolate cake.
Belly warm and full, and me smelling of fancy schmancy orange jasmine hotel soap, I snuggled into a pile of pillows and cushions in the window seat and just silently admired the sparkling view for a while.
Life will of course impatiently tackle me when I get home...but for tonight, I'm just going to sit, sit, and breathe. For everything that isn't...there is SO much more that is. It is good to just stop and remeber that sometimes.
