Sheep statues?

Sheep statues?

Yup. She has a bunch of pretty large statues of various animals made out of plastic and she sometimes makes little animal arrangements using them on the lawn. Today she was making one with sheep. She also has a pair of big porcelain leopards(?) she keeps by her door kinda like they’re keeping watch. Sometimes she brings them out too, but they’re not in scale with the plastic animals.

Once she had turtles, well, tortoises, four of them. Another time she had all kinds of jungle animals, even a monkey climbing up a tree.

It’s often either a wild mix of animals, domestic and exotic together in one statue-y flock, or just the sheep.

It’s my first summer here so the first time I saw the sheep out on the lawn was a bit of a surprise. She only brings the statues out every now and then and always brings them back in for the night.

I had probably the best tomato I've ever eaten with an otherwise unremarkable dinner today.

My dad's friend has a garden, and he has a fuckton of tomato plants. So my dad brought me a few the other day, and I happened to remember they were in the refrigerator while I was cooking. So I sliced one up and ended up eating the entire thing.

Saw a twitter post where a guy was at a gas station and over herd the person in front of him put $10 on pump three. The poster could only guess he was going to pump 4. Made me laugh and cry lol.

The phone's been silent as a tomb all day, so I was really glad when it finally rang tonight. It happened to be a regular that I really enjoy talking to, too, so that was nice. He and his wife are poly, and he tells me about their exploits.

Yes it is! And I picked at least half that amount yesterday, too.

I sometimes have to force myself to do things, too, because I feel very meh about them beforehand but know I’ll end up enjoying them if I just go. I hope you have a nice time and the food is yum!

My bff came and helped me hang all the curtain rods and curtains in my house only have 8 windows plus the back door)..... she is a treasure.... so I took her dinner and gave her tomatoes from the garden and 3 dozen fresh eggs from the chickens.....
