Fuckers trying to make rape and domestic violence a "pre-existing condition".
Don't worry, that's what I said. It'll be TREMENDOUS, believe me, I've got the best people working on it. Healthcare will be more affordable to everyone, I think it’s a massive, massive, incredible step forward.

I might have just lost hundreds/thousands of digital files of high sentimental value because of my own technical ineptitude.

Excuse me while I go punch myself a billion times.

She's one of the best, most vibrant personalities here.
Way to go, Lit.

Losing my vanilla clothes at a play event. Fortunately I had a jacket safe in the cloakroom so could get home without being too indecent!

Not writing a series of dreams from last night, now just remembering parts of them.

A ginger who was my girlfriend?
Rollerskating with her?
The math behind an Einstein-Rosen Bridge?
Willing yourself back to a younger self?

ARGH!

Because everything is either a remake or a sequel or a prequel these days.

I think there's an insulting irony that big movie studios have come to rely so much on that formula that they're making an unnecessary sequel to a movie that is probably one of the top examples of purely original content, since it was the genesis of the entire cyberpunk genre and retro-scifi themes.
It seems like it adequately mimics the aesthetics of the original so I guess it might live up to the standard set by the original so long as they don't go for typical generic shoot-em-up action flick, as opposed to the more cerebral original plot.

Side note:
I'm biased since Blade Runner is definitely one of my favourite pieces of media.
Don't trust anything I say about this movie.
I have nefarious intentions.

a coworker telling me that if i change jobs i cant play on my phone all day... yah.. pretty sure i know that (nor do i play on my phone all day.. but that's a whole different story)

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep is one of my favorite books of all time ( and easily my favorite in the cyberpunk genre ), and Philip K. Dick is far and away one of my favorite sci-fi writers as well. I always wished he had been able to see the original film, as it would have been very interesting to hear his opinion on it, seeing as it sympathized heavily with the replicants, whereas the novel was very anti replicant.

However, I'm glad he's not around to see this. Based solely on the imagery, I can already tell that this film is going to set a new threshold for " maximum own butt penetration " in terms of pretentious symbolism. Granted, the cyberpunk genre is very much a visual style, it's far more about paranoia, consumerism, and the overwhelming amount of moral and urban decay that accompanies the idea of a dystopian future in which humanity has become so plugged into technology, it calls into question whether we even remember what it is to be human at all.

Bringing back Decker as ( what I can only assume is some sort of mentor figure, lazy writing and pandering ), shoehorning in some vapid romance sub plot that only serves to distract from the overall narrative by obviously pairing a human with a synthetic ( i.e. LAZY WRITING ), and basically retelling the same story as the first film as opposed to showing some type evolution of the original story or even go back to the source material and stick closer to it than the original film did. I have zero hope of any of that happening here.

Another side note: Since you praise the original film so highly, and admittedly have " nefarious intentions ", I'm going to need you to sit here, put this on, and answer a few questions. Clearly and honestly. Friend.
