We did a sous vide experiment for yesterday's dinner.
We had a turkey and vegetable stir-fry and prepared the turkey breast the day before by marinating it and cooking it.
We stuck it in the freezer over night and then let it thaw just enough so it could be cut in super thin slices easily and threw it in the wok when the veggies were almost done.
It worked very well, I have to say. I think well keep a few of those turkey breasts in the freezer for when food needs to be ultra fast.

More or less odd than the leek twirler and this Swedish children's music video (the video is the original, btw, not the doings of a pranky youtuber)?

They're all so catchy, damn. Especially the Swedish one. I'm probably gonna hum that all day now, hopefully without lyrics this time. :)

Okay. More odd than the leek twirler, though I never could quite catch the direction of the twirl.

As to Willie and Twinkie:

"Here comes a Willie like a kangaroo."

..............................................Holy Moly! I just don't recall Sesame Street or the Electric Co. having, "Topics of the Day," along those lines. :D

Seela the sadist!

More like a masochist. :)

I've been singing that song all day today. Så olika men nästan samma grej, kissa kiss igenom snoppen eller snippan om man är tjeeeej!

Kissa means cat in Finnish btw. :)

And to bring this thread back on topic (although one of the videos featured leek, so that's kind of on topic). I cooked chicken with wilted spinach and roasted tomatoes to go with it.

And I forgot to soak the lentils and came home tired and uninspired, so I got kebab for us.
It was yummy and we have leftovers for lunch tomorrow.

This confuses me a bit. I never ever soak my lentils, and I never ever have problems cooking them. Who is doing it wrong? :D

Just to thrill MWY (and because it's too hot to really cook, and it's kiddo's turn) we're having grilled ham with mac & cheese. Yes, the blue box kind, but we substitute half yogurt and half sour cream for the milk, and toss in some shredded cheddar.

Do you have to cut them with a knife after cooking by this method?

Nope! Delicately delicious :)

Flog her.

I could use a good flogging, please! Leave my innards out of it, though.
I look at it this way...it's cheap, easy, tasty, and I didn't have to make it. This has been an exceptionally ouchy week for reasons unknown. I was shaking by the time we finished grocery shopping yesterday, and it was a fairly quick run. I'm so grateful for kiddo cooking.

There are some good frozen mac and cheeses as well!
Can't you try them next time? :p
Can you tell I really, really dislike the blue box? Even doctored up.
She says, as she eats Taco Bell for lunch

After three weeks of delay due to absurdly hot weather (even for AZ), I'm finally willing to fire up the oven to make my chicken enchilada casserole for dinner. The guys are pleased.

We had crayfish and chanterelle and Wästerbottencheese quiche yesterday.
Today the shells are going to become crayfish soup.
