LOL! Thanks EJ. This is a working meeting at the Lake. I will have about 300 students/parents there...and will not be using the "outdoor" toilets!

(maybe I should bring a roll of my own toilet paper....you know, just in case!)

going for my deep tissue massage

What is the difference between a deep tissue massage and a regular massage?

I may have to re-think your offer to come with you.

it's one of my three favorite of all time... along with "the godfather" and "jaws."

Godfather too yes....

Saw Jaws again not too long ago (on TV) and it was a bit...... dated....
So would The Big Chill be but somehow that one still works for me.

For me it's Animal House. I'd swear that was scripted from my second year of college.
I had a roommate while I was in graduate school who had attended Dartmouth with one of the principal writers of the Animal House script. He swears that he knows the identity of the guy after whom the John Belushi character was modelled.

It's a shame you and your man cannot be together more often. Any chance that will change soon?

Actually, we will be... sort of.... He only lives about 5 miles from me (and miraculously, only 2 blocks from where I work!). However, He's been out of town visiting his sisters in NC. Was "supposed" to be home yesterday, but his back went out the moment he got there (old injury flareup - happens sometimes). This one has been particularly bad and he's almost immobile... to the point that I'm flying down there on Monday afternoon to drive him back to VA on Wednesday or so.... Thank goodness he's staying with his sister, the nurse!!!

RE: The Big Chill - I've only watched the movie one time, but my "15 seconds of fame" is that I almost drove thru the set one day on my way to work. Check out the scene where one of the guys is jogging down the street.... That's where I almost busted up the scene..... :D

Movie Trivia - The house where they filmed "The Big Chill" is the same house where they filmed "The Great Santini". Oh yeah... and part of "The Prince of Tides was filmed less than 500 feet from my house(at the time)....

Wow... full body, deep tissue massage... that can be soooo tiring! I had one once, and was sore for days...2nd time I had it done, I told them "not so deep", and felt MUCH better afterwards!!!

I know they can really knock you out. My body needs it so badly right now. I have a gift certificate to use & I'm thinking tomorrow may be the day.

i'd offer to rub it for you but i suspect you don't need that... or knead that. :D

(((((PTM)))))

Thanks, it is definately the thought that counts EJ

It is amazing how they can tweak your muscles, just so. Driving home tonight was, ummm...painful. Right now, I feel like I have been beaten, badly. I need to make more ice or find a whole body ice pack.

Thanks Nb for your water suggestion

Oh, I can attest to the need to drink lots of water after a massage. I used to work at a place that offered 20 minute seated back massages on site every other week. Got to know the massage therapists quite well, so conversation ensued over the weeks. They indicated that the massage breaks up all the toxins in your cells, so if you drink lots of water, your body will 'flush them out' of your system, so to speak. If you don't, the toxins will just be reabsorbed by the cells in your system, which kinda negates some of the positive after affects of the massage.

So you live in that area? Wow... it looks beautiful.... and that house!
I have not seen The Great Santini (should I?) but did see The Prince of Tides. Never actually noticed this was the same house.

Good to hear your man will be back soon.

Thanks Leah! I'm a drinking...lots and lots of water! I need to pack an ice chest for today, I have a long day ahead of me.

I get to practice being a vet and a proctologist again.

*and I wonder why I don't have dates?!*

you've answered your own question... you don't have dates because you can easily identify a horse's ass, thanks to this training... and that's most every guy on earth. :D

The Great Santini was one of Robert Duvall's best performances ever (he received an Academy Award nomination for it). It's a must-see if you watch movies for the actors' performances.
