The Great Santini was one of Robert Duvall's best performances ever (he received an Academy Award nomination for it). It's a must-see if you watch movies for the actors' performances.

Noted.

On my "to see" list! Thank you.

I have not seen The Great Santini (should I?) but did see The Prince of Tides. Never actually noticed this was the same house.

Good to hear your man will be back soon.

Actually, I don't live there "now"... but I did live there when they were filming "Santini" and "Big Chill". I had moved away when they were filming "Prince of Tides"

Actually, I'm going to be flying out on Monday to go "retrieve" my BF and his DD. He still can't drive (not sure how he's even gonna make the 6 hour ride!).... then I'll be driving them back on Wednesday.

you've answered your own question... you don't have dates because you can easily identify a horse's ass, thanks to this training... and that's most every guy on earth. :D

I'd just like to point out that I did not say this... *looks at EJ*

;) Your conclusion is so very close to being law!

Lazy Saturday....

What am I doing today? as little as possible... but tonite, I'm going to a concert with 2 friends of mine from work... gonna have a GREAT time, too!!!

I'm going to visit my friend who recently had a serious heart attack.

Then yoga at 4 p.m.

Afterward, a long discussion about a work situation with my good friend and fellow klutz.

Wow, Denae, best wishes for a speedy recovery for your friend!

1) Briefly enjoying my newly restored computer monitor operation (before moving on to items 2 and beyond).

2) Wandering amongst the car dealerships in search of the perfect MLC-with-a-shade-of-respectability vehicle.

3) Yardwork.

4) Looking for a very funny comedy to watch tonight.

When you find #4, can you share it with us. It seems good comedies are few & far between.

Waiting for my mom to get here. For a week. What was I thinking?

Whatever it was, you need to stop having those kinds of thoughts. ;)

Yes, please do share.....

I just talked to my BF and he's watched Ron White's "You can't fix stupid", said it was hillarious. Same with the newest "Blue Collar Comedy Tour" DVD - Ron White and Larry the Cable Guy carried the show (in his opinion - I haven't seen it)

I just got in.

Woke up at 5 am, went into work and got more accomplished then than if I were there working with the 3 stooges there at the same time. Ok, only two stooges and a funny guy...

Came home, mowed the front and back pastures, and some miscelaneous yardwork.

Shot the shit with the guy that has the almonds across from my house.

Gave both dogs baths...boy, that was fun

Now, it is my turn. I'm thinking bubble bath!!!

The rest of the day, who knows what kind of trouble I will get into.

You were thinking you're a good woman who is thankful to still have her Mom. :)

I'm wonderfully out of town for the weekend.

What I'm doing today is visiting Niagara on the Lake, Ontario taking in some plays at the Shaw Festival. Just taking a break in the hotel between the afternoon show and the evening show. Bought some fresh local bing cherries. In the heart of our winery country.

You know what, you're absolutely right. Thank you for pointing out a big blessing in my life. :rose:

Watch Blazing Saddles again. That movie makes me laugh every single time I see it.

today i moved furniture... again.

tonight i watched pink floyd's "pulse" concert. i'm always astounded at how fantastic that tour was. top notch no matter how many times i watch the video.

Time for me to get off my arse and go and do some work outside I guess, chop some wood, try and fix the chook pen, make sure the @##%$#@ cows are still in, maybe crawl under my ute and try and fix the rattly exhaust pipe and whatever other delightful jobs my benubbed manages to come up with.
Have a great night people.
