Whats everyone doing today?

Oh geez, now I feel worse than I did after making the above post.

Sorry about that....just I don't have the option of having my Mom over. I'd love to...but then she was a wonderful Mom. They all aren't.

Scalywag does your Mom normally have people around her that she can talk to? My grandmother wasn't quite as bad as your Mom, but she sure could talk. It used to irritate me until I realized that she lived alone and didn't have a lot of people to talk to so when she was with us she made the most of it! Just wondering.

Well as much as I would nub to stay and play, she who I nub the most is looking at me with a distinctly unnubbling look, so I had better get my A into G or their will be no nubbing for me.

[Jeff Fenech] I nubs you all.[/Jeff Fenech]

well, since it's now a new day here. I really should get to bed, cuz i have a lot to do today. tops on the list is opening up our pop-up camper.....it's either gonna have an overwhelming smell of moth balls (leave it alone quoll) or if I forgot to put the moth balls in last fall (I can't remember), then I'll probably have to clean out mice nests and crap.

I know a joke about moth balls. A very dumb joke.

Nighty-night, MrWag.

WW, I'm sorry that you don't have that option. To an extent I understand what you mean though, my dad died when I was a kid.

My mom does live alone, but she's been like that as long as I can remember (back to my teen years). I just have a hard time tolerating it sometimes (well, most of the time). Same thing with young kids. As my kids grew older, I found I had less and less tolerance for young kids. We always hosted the extended family Christmas gathering for my side of the family, but I can't handle it any more. Not until a few of they grow a little older.

No problem. I just can't help commenting that people with 'good' Mom's should be thankful they still have them around...only because I miss mine.

hmmm well then it sounds like your coping strategy of limiting your time/exposure to your Mom sounds like a sanity keeper. :)

I'll be calling my parents in the afternoon. Today is their 51st wedding anniversary. :) After that, I'll be getting my things packed so that I am ready to travel on Monday afternoon. Getting the dog ready so he can go over to my son's place tomorrow evening.

What an accomplishment. Kudos for your parent's Leah.

4) Looking for a very funny comedy to watch tonight.

When you find #4, can you share it with us. It seems good comedies are few & far between.

I didn't find it. If anyone you know ever tries to tell you that Anchorman is one of the funniest movies ever, begin suspecting that you are in the presence of someone who has been treated to a cerebrumectomy by aliens.

Thanks, WW... They're a pretty special couple, even if I'm a bit prejudiced.... I can only hope that they are like my dad's aunt and uncle who recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary!

I'm celebrating! I haven't drank soda pop in a year.

Wow! good for you, PTM!!! I can't say the same, altho I have significantly cut back. I do try to drink at least 100 oz of water a day..... altho my "bare minimum" is 64 oz/day

I'm not a Will Farrell fan, so I probably wouldn't enjoy that movie either.... someone mentioned Blazing Saddles - That's pretty funny...

I watched Young Doctors In Love this morning... or fell back asleep to it, as it were.... that and Zorro, the Gay Blade are some obscure humorous movies that I like.

Thanks Leah! It has been a challenge but worth it so far. I'm in that 64 oz. + range for water. I try to primarily drink water but sometimes I will drink iced tea, crystal lite, and on special ocassions coffee!

100 oz.? I would be positively floating if I drank that much!!!

Right now I'm finishing up laundry and reading the newspaper.

I'm looking forward to lunch with my friend and enjoying the last day of my vacation.
