Whats everyone doing today?

today i took a train from liptovsky mikulas to bratislava, walked around a bit in bratislava, and will now take a bus towards berlin... i suppose i will be somewhere in the czech republic whenever today ends, the arrival in berlin is tomorrow.

Right now, I'm in the process of letting four girls soak in the bathtub while I check my email and stuff. My oldest girls are having their school's holiday program this evening.

Today's my oldest daughter's ninth birthday. Because of the holiday program, we celebrated her birthday this past Saturday.

I did a multi-tasking olympics tonight!

Laundry, dishes, vacuum, make the guest room up, shower, straighten hair, and I just finished writing finals for my classes. Big weekend ahead too - I'm tired already!

TGIF :catroar:

I had to take my four-year-old to see a nurse-practitioner for a recheck on her pneumonia. Afterward, she and I went to WallyHell to pick up some groceries.

Don't know what else I'll do today.

So, is she doing better?

Much, much better. :)

There's still a tiny bit of congestion in her left lung, but it's clearing up. She doesn't have to go back for any more rechecks unless we notice that she's getting worse. With all the meds that she's on, I don't see how she could get worse, but we'll definitely be keeping an eye on her.

today i met up with an old friend from school, whom i hadn't seen in almost seven years.

I sent out my half a dozen cards;
Mailed the two packages that needed mailing;
Bought a special card (two actually) for a very special man;
Took a yoga class taught by my favorite teacher.

Tomorrow I'm taking an early morning yoga class and then I'm going to make the pumpkin pancakes that I threatened last weekend.

Later, I'll make my pumpkin cookies that my special someone loves.

Trying to recoperate from a long day yesterday:

I took 112 of my students into San Francisco for a "Cultural" day. We rode BART, shopped 'til we dropped at Union Square and along the Market Street area, took a bus to catch a play at the gorgeous Palace of Fine Arts, and then came back home. I got home about 1:30 in the morning and am in dire need of some caffeine today!

For many of my students, this was the first time they have ridden BART and/or public transportation. For two of them, it was their first time in San Fran. It was a very cool day! Exhausting but well worth it :D

Today, I will be downing coffee and/or taking a nap but not in that order ;)

I hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend.

I cooked breakfast this morning, and watched a tiny bit of TV. I plan to clean the bathroom and the living room. Then vacuum the bedroom and living room. Maybe do the dishes in the sink, or just chuck them into the dishwasher.

What a fabulous day, PTM! Isn't the Palace of Fine Arts simply stunning?

My book group met today for our annual gift exchange and planning meeting.

To correct a typo, that should be 12 students, not 112 *I would need my head checked to take 112 high schoolers to San Francisco!* :eek:

In my other trips with students to San Francisco, we have only been to little theatres in the Union Square/Market Street area but the Palace, it was absolutely amazing yank! I would definately enjoy going back there once again.

Apparently, it is in danger of being closed as there was a black tie event there at the same time, in efforts to raise funds to save it. We also walked through the surrounding neighborhood and the old homes/apartments there were gorgeous as well!

Here is a glimpse of it, for those of you that aren't familiar:

Oh come on, (or "comon" if you're on the gb) there has to be more to it than that, do you realise how long it's been since the last episode of our favourite soapy! :cool:

I wondered about that Tease! You'd be ready for a padded cell. ;)

I did a load of laundry--unmentionables. :eek:

We went to a movie and then out to dinner. May I just say that croissants with honey butter are pretty darn good.

LOL, yes that is for sure. That many would have tested my patience - probably shattered it to a zillion pieces as well!

12 is a much more manageable number. Even a dozen was a handful - teenagers :rolleyes:

Laundry?! I NEED to do laundry... I'm procrastinating on that.

How poetic. Any excessive swelling, choking or untimely bowel motions?
Nope, but her (and her rabbits') meal schedule was off today, so I imagine that the bowel movement that was originally scheduled for 8:42 am will be pushed back a bit. Heh.

I also found out that she can't in good conscience support the soft drink industry.
