Whats everyone doing today?

They just came out of the oven.....and they smell soooooo good.

Is this the whole "tease me" thing in action?! ;)

Luckily, I just got a candle order in and lemme tell you that "warm apple crisp" smells so much like the real thing I almost took a bite of the candle!

*drool*

Having my annual pap smear today, but the fun starts afterward when I use my coupons and do some heavy damage at Borders bookstore. Then I'm buying some gifts for the Marine's Toys for Tots program and toiletry items for the ministries program to give to the homeless and at the shelters.

Ooh, buy lots of fun stuff. You'll deserve it after the indignity of one of those.

Denae, nice to see you. :)

good to see you too BG. I've been perusing your food thread and I can tell I'm going to be spending lots of time there and in my kitchen trying all sorts of new things. I love that thread!!

so far just at the computer, and hanging up laundry... but an *ahem* friend is on his way to my place, which should cover my plans for the evening...

Since it was such a nice day, my husband and I took the girls to a playground after school. This evening, I'm going to go watch a production of The Merry Wives of Windsor. One of my best friends is directing it, and judging from what she's told me, she'll need all the moral support she can get.

Nothing much today really. I slept in because I have sinus infection brewing.

Tonight we are going to the community Christmas tree lighting and taking the little guy to add his ornament to the tree.

The middle Quoll is having his birthday party today so I'll be driving for miles placing ballons for people who can't read maps.

I made a cherry pie and practiced the piano.
Nice, although I would have been very impressed if it was the other way around. ;)

Apparently I am also going into town to pick up those forgotten items.

Congrats sassy, that is terrific!

Hmmm, it is a cold, rainy day here. My family is supposed to come for a visit and help me move some furniture around (and some out) of my house. They want to meet my newest dog (I've had since June). I am threatening to cook for them but, it looks like they are still coming.

Right now, snuggled in a soft robe and fuzzy slippers contemplating going back to bed for a little catnap.

Thanks! I can't wait......

Another new dog? Is this 2 or 3 now? Once I get settled in with the new place, will be getting a new dog. Have been looking into a Greyhound, although they are kind of expensive to rescue.

It will be nicer with less of a commute, both ways!

Oh, this is still #2. I've had her since June and that is just how long it has been since the family has come to visit down here.

Greyhounds are beautiful! I'm sure it would be well worth the $$. Just think, all the dough you will save from your shorter commute and you can have yourself a gorgeous greyhound! ;)

Hmmmm I had not thought of that! Now you really are giving me ideas.

The greyhound rescue is $250 - $300 plus my apartments charge $300 pet fee/deposit - so that makes it add up really fast.

What I've read on Greyhounds makes me really want to get one. Even though they are a bigger dog and do need some good exercise, they don't require it each and every day. Plus they don't shead much, and love to lounge around, so do make a great apartment dog!

That does add up quick. I hope it works out for you. You have done your research! The shedding thing is HUGE! Did your Brittany shed much? My Queensland is a damn hair machine!!! I still love her though. Even when she sheds white hair all over my black clothes...

LOL yep Brittany did shed quite a bit......in fact she shead more the my spitz/cocker mix did. I am sure I still have her hair on my stuff that has been in storage for 4 years :p

Have you tried combing or brushing her every couple of days? The start of that will be a fur bath, but it should help to control the shedding.

Well I'm off to my massage (insurance paid :nana: woo hoo!) See you all later!

Yeah, I comb/brush her regularly. It IS a fur bath, lol!

Oh, you lucky, lucky, lucky woman. I SOOOO need one. Hope you get all relaxed from your massage. Have a great day! :rose:

Trying a recipe for White Bean Turkey Chili in my slow cooker. Smells good so far.

I also bought a present for a friend of mine that I'm going to give tonight. We go to yoga together and she loves the affirmations that the instructor provides, so I found some affirmation cards that I think she'll love. I'm so proud of my friend for doing some hard work on herself. She's come a long way, especially in the last six months.
