Hm... I'm not sure if some people consider that subspace. As I understand it sub space is a chemical reaction. I think certain actions being carried out can make one feel more submissive. That's probably where the sense of accomplishment comes in and feels so good.

I would forgo the pleasure too often enough, depends how good / rare it is. I don't mind some self infliction. But I am not sure the idea of predicament bondage does much for me tbh. One of the things I enjoy is the suspension of having control or decision making and releasing that to Mio maestro temporarily. I would feel a bit like he threw it make in my face; if we use the terminology of 'submission is a gift'. I would feel it was ill received ...this is obviously a very personal reaction

This is a big part of what appeals to me about submission. In the either or scenario offered, I suspect I would also often forgo the pleasure.
