Haley Mary is an astoundingly good singer, reminding me a lot of Kate Bush, especially when she hits her higher notes. But honestly, I listen to The Jezebels for Nik Kaloper, the drummer. He is really the central focus of the band. Lead drums.

The Mutton Birds - She's Been Talking
I had a very definite song in mind for this prompt. this isn't it! This band popped into my head and this song seemed a natural. The atmosphere in this is wonderful and i realise i have often tried to emulate it in stories. the opening "at the hightide line" let's you know you are in for a treat. The feeling of finding someone unlike others ("she is not like them").
Also, the chorus... i mean... just wonderful... the main vocal saying just enough while the backing one completes the sentence.

I had my wife help me with this one. I couldn’t decide and narrow a couple down, so she decided for me.
If you think of 77 style punk rock, this is pretty much it (except it was written in 1976
). I have an original (American pressing) of this 45.
