I ran one out until the end once, as I wanted to understand the game, especially hitting on me pretending to be a woman, which while not out of the question, men get more play. In the end it was a dude pretending to be a chick very similar to me but more bi, as a bait and switch to move in to a highly questionable teen boy for a mom thing. seriously did not see bait and switch mommy/cougar dude coming from oldDudePretendingtoBeaBiMiddleAgedChick. not sure if anyone else caught it, but did you know we actually had a porn chick member. the myth turned true once. She hadn't done a ton, but enough I noticed from like 10 years prior. When I first saw her, I side eyed her for a bit, as I assumed fake, and she must have found new photos of the real chick. But after observing, I believed it really was her, and her career was still not active for years. I thought it was a unique plot twist.

Oh my friend, not always. There have been times I have gone off the rails and even times when I baited people into flame wars. I used to have arguments with like half the site. I think I probably genuinely hurt some people back then.

A myth I want busted or confirmed and a Lit Tale of deception, greed, lust, and skinny chicks.

Is it true or a myth that Drama (with a capital "D") permeates the very foundations of this entire board. Is it a myth or a sad truth that Drama is part of every single forum on here.

As my (least) favourite example, Justa and Hot Older Guy (and lurkers on AmPics) will remember Bracken the Wonder Dog, evil genius behind the Cinder Rose Affair...the most egregious case of false identity on AmPics. She was to all appearances a tall thin waif-like creature who lived the Life of O in an estate in England. She had everyone fooled to one degree or another until some porn-addicted oaf (that would be me) found the Model's pics she stole (by accident; I was looking for Hockey scores). She had reversed some images, made others B&W in order to make them harder to trace (and I had tried several times)…Justa put the final nails in that particular coffin with her reverse image search magic.

I think this only shows up in AmPics and Fetish. The thing about that particular class of Drama is the percentage of my penis-owning brothers who don't read posts, they just look at tits and butts and send drooling, worshipping responses, sometimes long after the perpetrator has been outed.

Well one of our sleuth legends started doing homework and after a couple months...published it all here. Names...addresses...phone numbers...pics. Karen...was Ken the friendly GB heirloom tomato seed salesman from California that used to be a movie producer. Ken...hired Karen...an aspiring actress to take photos and make videos for specific people. Then he pretended to be Karen...

It all fell apart when our sleuth contacted the real Karen...and she filed a cease and desist order for the use of her photos and videos. That's the thing about contracts...they were being used illegally...and all of "her" GB friends suddenly found out...they were masturbating for a guy. The next couple weeks were hilarious. Guys saying it didn't happen...then our sleuth linked their comments. And pics.

Now...I don't know which is more extreme....the amount of work Ken did to be Karen...or the amount of work our sleuth did to unravel it. Both to me pushes the boundary of sanity.

Well many fell from the graces and had to create new accounts. And then shortly after this, the trampoline girl was found out to be a guy. So, yea...there appears to be a history of the kink where guys pretend to be girls...to get pics of guys in intimate situations.

Lit is tame to what it was.

This is fairly universal behavior. Another board I was on way back in like 2008 had a similar issue where a dude paid a camgirl to make videos and take pictures for him and had internet relationships with a bunch of the dudes on the site. Took a lot of effort and time by a couple different sleuths to unravel it. Many people were cranky. It was hilarious to watch.

I used to almost worry about it back in the day, but now I am just cocky enough to believe it wouldn't matter because no one cares. outing me would what, demonstrate I have a human sexual drive and I use technology to assist with fulling it like oh 70 to 80% of the human population. ok, I would assume that about most people already. My friends and family and coworkers would assume this. I can't find anyone in my giant work organization with any real power or that cares about all that much, so if someone else finds someone, tell me their name, what county, city, office lol. yup I am quite sure no one cares lol

I've gone through a similar process myself. I do take precautions though.

I used to almost worry about it back in the day, but now I am just cocky enough to believe it wouldn't matter because no one cares. outing me would what, demonstrate I have a human sexual drive and I use technology to assist with fulling it like oh 70 to 80% of the human population. ok, I would assume that about most people already. My friends and family and coworkers would assume this. For me, I feel the need to preserve annonymity because I am in a profession where my face has to be visible and is on line in connection with my work. I've reached a stage where I"m not looking for more clients, but it would hurt my reputation and my partners. I think you are right that it would matter less in a large organization.

I feel pretty much the same. Nobody cares about whether I am on an adult site. My close friends and family know. My employer wouldn’t care because I am not damaging their reputation. There are certain topics that Come up on Lit that I cannot get involved in because of the work I do. I man who engages in reckless, insenstive, manipulative and/or libertine sex is, I agree, often regarded as a "stud" and admired for his "manliness." This is in sharp contrast to how women who embrace their sexuality are generally regarded.
But is it the same for on-line activity. A man who (like the proverbial Congressman Weiner) shares pictures of his genitals and engages in masturbatory activity seems more likely to be regarded as weak, pathetic and lacking in manhood. (Even if his "mandood" is of impressive proportions.) If he were a real man or a real stud, he would be attracting women in real life and having real sex.
