Its rude to demand nudes before you chat with a woman, but I am close to that, especially before sexting.

I actually do appreciate this struggle for the men of lit. When I first joined, new friends would want a quick clothed video chat, just so they could see and hear that I was a women. I thought it was hysterical because like why would I not be, dudes are so weird. After being around long enough to see, I now invite them to a non-erotic chat right off. They get to witness me in all my awkward glory, rambling about nothing, constantly swiveling my chair side to side, and nervously fidgeting while we make small talk. I do this for several reasons, one to appreciate who I am talking to, but also to offer an olive branch of trust to them. Plus the added bonus that I also get to knock myself off the "sexy" pedestal some men put on, and correct their perception to my dorkilicious self.

I think I am the exception though. I can not deny the logic behind the doubt though, so no judgement. Honestly, the ones I observe walking around with no doubt, I judge them a little, especially when watching them interact with an exceptionally poor and obvious alt of OldDudePrentendingtobeaHotchick. Men get played way more often, but it is rude to ask for verification. Both sides are valid, that is why I just offer now.

Karen...was Ken the friendly GB heirloom tomato seed salesman from California that used to be a movie producer. Ken...hired Karen...an aspiring actress to take photos and make videos for specific people. Then he pretended to be Karen...

It all fell apart when our sleuth contacted the real Karen...and she filed a cease and desist order for the use of her photos and videos. That's the thing about contracts...they were being used illegally...and all of "her" GB friends suddenly found out...they were masturbating for a guy. The next couple weeks were hilarious. Guys saying it didn't happen...then our sleuth linked their comments. And pics.

Now...I don't know which is more extreme....the amount of work Ken did to be Karen...or the amount of work our sleuth did to unravel it. Both to me pushes the boundary of sanity.

I would argue though the amount of work the sleuth did is not the most interesting extreme. As long as the screw of life keeps turning, there will be people who see something "wrong", that just isn't fitting the accumulated knowledge, then they will want to observe it and dissect it until it makes sense. The people who possess the drive to not stop until the find the missing piece and understand is the core of humanity's accumulation of knowledge. They always were, and always will be, as long as the screw keeps turning. Not all discoveries will be the laws of thermodynamics or cure for cancer, the drive itself fits towards the collective gain.

I'd argue Karen/Ken may be far more extreme unless there is another puzzle piece you did not mention. The amount of planning, time, effort this long con took, for no quantifiable gain, that is extreme. Was Ken getting some of these men to give "Karen" money, or somehow using this to make his life easier. Without that, it was all for Ken's amusement, and that would be the more extreme.

I just learned someone had misgivings about me because of my username.

I’ve actually given some thought over the years about changing my username. The “him” involved and I have been just friends since about 2014, and it occasionally feels odd to still use the username named for when he and I were in a relationship. But, I am pretty well-known as a mod and opt to not change it for that reason.

I don’t know what Diosax means…but I’m going to try to figure it out.
