I feel like Candy Corn sort of got a bad rap when the selected inteligencia started making snarky comments about it, and the rest just repeated it. Mike Leach, the late college football coach, said during a post-game interview that he thought candy corn was terrible, it was like fruit cake (Mike Leach was a character, and often went on non-football rants during his press conferences).

I have good memories of candy corn. I'm old enough that trick or treating got me apples or hard butterscotch candies from neighborhood grannies. Candy corn was a welcome sight.

Told ya'll,old people like fruits lol.And they like passing out them little boxes of raisins too lol.

OMG, yes the Raisins! When we got home, we sorted the candy - a good pile of keepers, and a junk pile. Apples and raisins were removed from the discussion.

I said they rebranded it as Snickers Almond.

I don't mind candy corn. It's kind of bland and flavorless, but it doesn't offend me the way it does some.

That said, the house that gave our Reese's was always the most popular stop on our trick or treating route as a kid. Then anybody giving out Snickers, Heath, or Three Musketeers. I was the only one of my friend group who like Whatchamacallit, but damn I loved those things.
