🧘🏼‍♂️🤾🏻‍♀️Getting Sweaty Again: The 3rd Circuit 🚴🏼‍♂️🏋🏼‍♀️

Just learned the stiff & sore feeling is more than the result of a workout --- hip osteoarthritis.

Now expecting to meet a whole new set of medical folks ... and hearing their advice about what to do. In the meantime ... more biking and swimming, continuing circuit weight training, and on-going conscious eating to get weight off.

Learn from my neglect -- you really OUGHT to pay attention to things that hurt.

Despite the diagnosis, I'm happy to hear you're still motivated to keep moving. I'm going through some therapy and prep for a procedure now, and I have to keep reminding myself when there seems to be a million things to do to take it one day at a time. Good luck with everything from here. I really need to stop ignoring my knee, thanks for the reminder. :)

Tonight I worked on my belly dance choreography and then worked on specific isolated moves that I'm not quite getting. It was fun doing some free dance on my own, it felt like the moves were starting to come naturally by the end. I think I went through the dance itself about ten times and worked up a good sweat.

Life is totally getting in my way. My workouts have been sporadic at best. My eating has been awful. I take 3 steps forwards and 3 steps back. I’m starting over again.

I hit the bike for 20 min this am for the first time in a month. Also hit a bucket of golf balls. Slow steady steps. Will be at the gym tomorrow am.

I had pneumonia and covid earlier this year, and I am going to the gym for the first time in three months on Thursday.

In my 20s, sub 19 minute 5km runs were possible, just. Now I am in my late 30s, and prior to being ill, I was pushing 22-23 minutes albeit this was now on a treadmill and not road running as I used to (my knees are my weakness!)

I know it is going to be tough on Thursday for me, as my lungs have been the problem for a month. Any tips on making the transition back into running easier at this stage? I think it’ll be over 30 minutes this time, I am not going to push myself, I just want to finish the 5km.

I was super sore after six hours of soccer clinics Saturday. Gearing up for a couple of hours of it tonight. Just the coach, but I try to be involved, so I got to get back in shape.

Wanna be my workout muses, @sallysparrow23 and @Love_Is_Blonde ? 😇😇😇

You've got this! ;)

I'm working on part two of my choreography but as the days get warmer am trying to get outside more with my dog or on my rollerblades. Skating season is so close! 🥰

one "go back to exercise after COVID" tip I saw was to monitor pulse & O2 rather than worrying about distance or time. Elevate pulse and drop O2 some, but not to full exertion.

Thanks, I will read up and have a go.

I’m either getting sick or allergies kicking my ass. Needles to say I didn’t get to the gym today. But I also barely ate. Hopefully will feel better in the AM and get a workout in.

I’m still under the weather. But had a lot of time to look up and put together a new workout plan for 4 days a week.

Here's hoping there will be action photos and sports reports coming our way.
I can only imagine what they will look like. 😆 I heard back and am doing an info session later in April before they start training.

I had a lovely surprise message from our dear thread hostess, LIB. She sends her well wishes and is happy the thread is still going strong.

Keep up the good work, Sweaters! Have a great day!

Hit the mountain trail yesterday with the dog 5 miles and several areas that were a muddy mess. Then got the real workout giving the dog a bath.

Was amused to read AP coverage of roller derby & politics ...

Good for them - hope they and the ACLU are able to get an immediate stay on the restriction, and eventually will win the case.

I thought roller derby was open to anyone so this surprised me. I hope they win too, like the lady said in the interview, the world is scary enough, if my kid wants to play I'm going to let them play.

I went downhill skiing yesterday for the first time in many years. The friend who was "teaching" me said that it's a lot like in line skating, but didn't really tell me much else before I started sliding down the first hill. 🙈😆

I didn't do too bad! The only time I fell was while attempting to get off of the ski lift at the top. Man, you really fly on skis. It was exhilarating, but also slightly terrifying. Will definitely do it again. My youngest was a natural and skiied circles around me by the time we called it a day.

Note to self: next time bring sunscreen. My face is bright red from the sun and wind.

Yay!! It sounds like you are having a blast!!

The ski lift can be a bit tricky (and as the hours go, the snow often turns rather hard and icy!), What kind of lift is it?

Oh, and yes!!!!! Sunscreen 😆🙈 the sun and wind burn are relentless! ❤️

Enjoy and do all the fun things!! ⛷️

Ps. I started doing Asana Rebel again, after having only used FitOn for many years.. I had forgotten just how great Asana Rebel is!

It is a chair lift, though I almost wiped out on the magic carpet lift in the beginning too. 🙈

Thank you!! It's been such a great trip so far.

I haven't done anything on Asana Rebel in a while, but get back into it. I did a few of their programs earlier this year and love the variety incorporated into the sessions. Thanks for the reminder. ☺️

Back from the gym and lunch is down.
It's the first time since 23/3 and it feels good to be back. It's not that I've been sitting on my ass. I've tried to work on my motorcycle skills offroad. And that is a good way to find out witch muscles needs more training to be better offroad.

I’ve been working on a new cardio playlist ALL day. All. Freaking. Day.

I hate cardio..and it shows in my procrastination to complete this dang thing 😅😂
