Perhaps he intends to sandbag, something like the winner did last year. :eek: He can't do the same thing, but he can refrain from posting his stories until Nerw Year's Eve.:eek: It is legal to do that, although I consider it unethical, :(
and would never do it myself.

Wonderful about the writing. :rose: Hope it goes quite smoothly about your hubby. Make sure you refer to what you are writing as erotica, it seems to make it a little more tame for most people.

Personally, I refer to it as porn or smut or dirty stories, but that's just me. :cool:

I, of course, have no problem with any of those terms, but if she's trying to explain to her husband gently... I'd go with erotica.

Take your time. Maybe set a date and work up to it. Maybe start with telling about a story you've written? Then go on to... I found a web site to post it on. :rose: And you have the whole year to win immunities. You'll get one or two.

Someone once suggested I should get little business cards printed up that say "porn writer" to hand out if I'm interested in a guy. :D I don't think I could.
 
Erin, hope things are going better for you. Kudos on telling your hubby about this site; it makes things easier when you don't have to hide it.

I've been going through a lot of crap lately, personal stuff with my older daughter caused by some major issues with her father. I'm also 2 weeks into a new relationship, so time and inclination to write just haven't been there lately. I think I need to give up on my "chapter stories" for a little while and focus on some new stuff; that might make things more interesting. (Hmm... my new guy's a boat captain... I bet I could find something in that!)

Hope everyone's doing well... we're almost halfway there!
 
I just noticed there's no June immunity thread yet, or if there is, I can't find it...
 
I noticed that myself. I just signed up for the contest yesterday and was hoping to pick an immunity number and have been waiting for the thread to appear. Hopefully it will soon. Also waiting for them to get my scorecard thread started as well. Made my first submission last night.

Lauren got it up. I meant to get it up last night, but my computer started acting up, and I've been spending most of the day today trying to get it fixed.

Iam, I'll get your scorecard up soon. Hopefully by the end of the night.

I do apologize for the lateness in posting some of the immunities and scorecards. As some of you may know, I'm going through some not so great stuff in my personal life right now, so I'm not functioning really great at the moment.
 
Crimson, thanks for your prompt response very much appreciated. I guess since I'm starting so late in the process I'm just anxious to get going. :)

Sometimes it is better to go with what interests you at the moment. I've got a few started but they are taking their time. Luckily a new one appeared last night that is working well. Good luck. :rose:

I live nead Kitchener Ontario, not that horribly far from Ottawa, which is a beautiful city, btw. Thanks, yeah I'm new here and don't have alot of time to write, but I find myself writing alot all day in my head and then when I do get a chance to put it on paper it flows out in a torrent. I see I have alot of writing to do to catch up to you for survivor, I don't think I'll have that kind of time lol. :)

Magica, I've been completely blocked lately, other than my story that went up today, which I apparently should have proofread more carefully.

Erin, not a lot of sex; he lives 100 miles from me. But at least he thinks I'm worth the trip. LOL.
