What Stories Do you Plan to Write for the 2026 Events and Competitions

This is really for all of us to look back a year from now and see how close we came to our ambitions, as well as to plan out high priority projects for next year. No pressure to have it totally up to date and it's not a commitment.

If you've got some updated plans, post them and I'll update the list I'd been maintaining. I had been collecting them all while Chloe was busy writing (this is TheRedLantern after a name change)
Thanks my friend. Let me smartly gather my thoughts but I truly appreciate your message.
It is nice to see what I committed to and achieved. 💜❤️

I have a long backload of unfinished stories and I'd like to get some of them done and submitted for events and contests in 2026. This is a wish list, not a promise.

I have a fun BDSM story that I hope to submit for the Valentine's contest. It involves rope, and I've been hoping to incorporate rope into a story for a long time.

I've started a Lesbian Sex story, my first, for the Pink Orchid event. This is probably the most ambitious and difficult story I've attempted, because I don't know what it's like to be a lesbian, and I'm trying to handle it in a serious, non-male gaze sort of way.

I have an exhibitionist story I've worked on for several years that would be ideal for the Nude Day contest, and it's about 75% done, so I'm planning to do that.

I have two stories in contention for submission for the summer event -- one a long incest tale, and the other a BDSM/Fetish roleplay story. I don't know yet which one I'm going to focus on.

For the Music challenge I've got Don't Stand So Close To Me, another one that's been simmering for a few years.

For next year's winter contest I hope to finish and submit an incubus story I've been working on for a while. It's about an incubus who feels regret over what he's done and seeks counseling from a psychologist, but then he falls in love with her, around Christmas. It's kind of Simon's story version of a Hallmark movie.

Feeling a bit smug as two of my three planned entries are at the final draft stage.

Plus, I have an outline for a series in which the title of all four episodes is a song title. The first is 'The Model', which fits with the music event, but the content does not. Need to think further.

All right, fine. Here we go.

Tainted Love
Boneyard ~ a couple who like to fuck in cemeteries - I have a written outline (90% sure that this will get done)

Yay Team!
~ I have two ideas here, the better one is convoluted with a large cast (involving tennis), the second one is simpler and less sport specific (involving basketball), both require research to learn the rules tho (50% sure that perhaps one of them will get done)

Music Challenge
Copperhead Road ~ a medley of 3 or 4 classic rock songs (they keep playing classic rock at work and I get ideas) as vignettes interspersed within the longer story being based on Copperhead Road (Steve Earle - because it's probably the best 'story song' of its generation), the other songs being Jesse (Carly Simon), Life in the Fast Lane (Eagles) and maybe or maybe not Don't Stand so Close to Me (The Police). The big problem here is the tricky plot that I have to sort out for Copperhead Road, themes are good girl bad boy, bad girl good boy, bad girl bad boy and good girl good boy (guess which title is which) (I'm about 50% sure that this will get done)

'Tis the Season
The Fertility Tree ~ an old idea that I've had kicking around, an expedition into the jungle uncovers a myth - I whipped up a written outline (90% sure that this will get done)

I had the same problem for Robbing the Hood, I suggest asking for input/ beta reads from some of our resident lesbians. THBGato, redgarters and https://forum.literotica.com/members/aoife_from_ulster.6489176/ have been helpful to me.

Edit: Whoops! Redgarters writes in lesbian, but presents here as bisexual male, sorry for the misidentification.

I don't think there's a rule against two authors using the same song title. It wouldn't bother me. We might both benefit from more attention.
As a reader, I would love to see two stories pulling from the same song.
It’s the personal connection, the image and of course the sex. Seeing it from two perspectives.

Frankly it’s exciting.
I would absolutely welcome someone to write a Come Sail Away just to see their point of view.

Will do: Valentine's Day group sex/romance, set around a tea house, in the same world as my series What's Left of Me. It'll use some of the same characters and be set 6-10 years later. I don't have a title yet, but after I get to a stopping place in what I'm writing now, this is my #1 priority, which I guess makes it my #2 priority.

Would like to do: Summer Lovin'/Music Challenge entry about an orgy at a penthouse party, following as closely as I can the structure of Morphine's "Top Floor Bottom Buzzer". I have the plot pretty well sorted, it's just a matter of finding time; I don't think I'll start writing this until the spring at the earliest. I have another Music Challenge entry based on Tim McNorris's "It's a Beautiful Day" that I may or may not get 'round to. For Nude Day, I have an E&V/Lesbian story planned very loosely based on the time a friend of mine got soft-kidnapped by a cult. This would use one of the characters from the Valentine's Day story and be set 6-10 years earlier.

Unlikely: For Jasmine Tea, I have a loose plot that I'm realizing is actually about thirteen hundred years out of scope. I'd planned to set it in Taiyuan Commandery of northern China in the leadup to the Three Kingdoms period, starring the character Zheng Jiang. Zheng Jiang is an invented character by Creative Assembly for their game Total War: Three Kingdoms; she is a conflation of two female bandit leaders named Zheng and Jiang who were executed by Liu Zhen (and that's all we know about them). But since it's so far out of scope, and since I have two series actively being written and two more in the outlining/plotting stage, I'll probably let this one pass, at least for this year.

This will be my second full calendar year as a writer, and I'm challenging myself to hit all 6 official contests this year, after only missing April Fools last year. I've got concepts logged for the first two already. My Valentines entry (which is half drafted but needs significant rewrites) is tentatively titled "Pierced."

I updated the submitted, adding a few titles that were missing but submitted. It felt odd having half of them marked as SUBMITTED.

Can you do replace of s/iwatchus/old_prof/ for the next go round of this?

@SamanthaBehgs I wasn't sure whether how you wanted your case handled. You submitted something different after they woudn't accept poems.

Sorry - I had to re-read the posts. Give me a day or so to have time to focus on what's going on, but I think this would start with my Winter submission where I submitted a story (Milk from Cookies) and just assumed the poems were for fun rather than entries.

I submitted a story to the Winter Holidays (Milk from Cookies) and a poem to the Halloween Holiday one. Is that what you mean?
In the list above, it lists you as intending on submitting poems to the winter event. I thought I remembered an issue where they said no to the poems for this event. You then submitted a story. I thought you should get credit on the list above, but I wasn't sure if just erasing that you had intended on submitting poems was right.

My poem was for the Halloween event which was the issue - I messed up and that's all I submitted for Halloween. But winter the poems I wrote I knew didn't count, but I submitted Milk from Cookies before the deadline. I'll give it a look, though. Just have to go do some wrapping right now so I'm about to disappear.

I'm going to enter my first contest!

Valentine's Day 2026
- HelenL - The Franchise.

I would say it's a penetrating takedown of the Romance-Industrial Complex, but that would be a lie. I do use the term, though.

The Romance Industrial Complex, that's a bit rich, actually it's 75% of rich.

Firstly, Happy Whatevs to you & yours.

Secondly, that is quite a challenge you have set yourself. I hope the writing goes well and your ambition does not become a burden.

Thank you … truly thank you Writer61,
Right now my grandmother duties are priority but once this house is empty, it will be just me and my iPad with my slutty mind playing little games.
