21. You feel that pulling out of Iraq is a good idea for the security of the USA.

I love that this is still controversial to some people.

Didnt Bush expand government under his watch?? Cross that one off the list dude

Show me some schools that fit those descriptions.

Bryan High School and the Bryan School District.

Reagan High School and the joke that is Austin School District.

Westlake High School's Jumbo-tron at the football stadium that cost millions.

The entire Dell-Valle School district.

The entire New Orleans school system.

Oakland California.

Shall I continue?

What about them? Other than a jumbotron you haven't said what they've done.

Oh yeah. Abandoning those people to whatever thug has the most guns is a great idea for American security.

Yes, Bush is a fiscal liberal and he did expand the government. But we are not voting for the presidency, are we?

Like I said, I love that there are still people as dumb as you are.

Field houses costing millions, superintendants country-club memberships, poor management and outright corruption, not to mention foolish educational theories from both sides of the isle have led to a total collapse of public education. More money will not help.

Do you not have 'google' on your computer? I can look up articles and post the links if you want me too.

Well you're right, we are not voting for president this go round. But the rap on the Democrats is they like bigger government. So, now they have an argument.

Okay genius, what is your answer?

Not engage in foolish, costly wars that make a country less safe? Crazy, I know.

Both parties want more government. The Republicans are lying when they say they want less than what we have now. They all want more government because they are in the government business. They believe in government. Most of them have never earned a productive dollar in thier lives.

I disagree on that premise, however it is irrelevant at this point, we are in it.

So, for the sake of arguement, fine. You are right, we should not have gone in to begin with. However, we are there. We have begun an intervention, and those normal everyday people there are depending on us to finish what was started.

So my belief is to finish it and set them up with some measure of security and self-determination. Both for thier sake and ours.

You call me names. What sir, is your solution to the current dilemma?

Stop electing people who do such idiotic things.

Okay, again that does not solve Iraq. I ask for the third time, how would you handle Iraq sir?

That’s always the Bush argument, “hey, were there, you know, sorry”. At 2 billion a month, why can’t Bush sit back and get some real solutions to this. I question the leadership, I say bounce Rumsfeld out as soon as possible. Do something, either provide more soldiers or cut and run.

Hell, I'd like to see how many public schools actually have field houses. Never seen one myself.
Not sure what a country club membership has to do with anything unless it's a case where actual tax dollars meant for the school were used and if that's the case then it's only an issue if the superintendant still has his job.
I also think that saying our education system has collapsed is pretty stupid. As is saying that more money wouldn't help. It most certainly would help.
You're just an idiot republican looking for a reason to exist.

By voting out the idiots who got in there in the first place. While what to do in Iraq is an interesting question, it's a diversion. The people responsible for that fiasco have displayed such a stunning level of incompetence that they deserve to lose their jobs on the staggering incompetence displayed alone.. That's what voters are empowered to do in this election.

I sure didn't expect the list in the opening post to cause such a stir. But then again I've never been a member of any political party. Nor do I take either party's platform to be written in stone, it's folly for the late night shows.

Damnewc, even if you did mean the list as a conversation starter, I still see the humor in it... today I see that as an accomplishment. Getting thru the election season with humor isn't always easy.

with that kind of money...I could sub contract this war stuff out. I know who to call too :D

1. You are fed up with the record Dow Jones Average!
Statistics say that the dow does better under a Democratic President then under a Republican: http://money.cnn.com/2004/01/21/markets/election_demsvreps/

2. You are fed up with the low unemployment rate and lowering gas prices!
You mean lowering of gas prices that spiked under Bush and then came down. Prices are still high then under Clinton. How exactly did Bush or Congress "lower the prices?"

3. You believe government isn't big enough!
Government has grown more under Bush and the current congress then under Clinton who actually SHRUNK government.

4. You want Wal-Mart destroyed!
Capitalism is fair... may the best company win.

5. You believe public schools should have an endless supply of money!
Unfunded mandates like No Child Left Behind are killing the states and local governments... Bush and the GOP have had years, what have they done to shink the numbers?

6. You hate Bush!
Yup. He is an unqualified dope who never listens to opposing opinions.

7. You hate Christians!
Who said that? I'd like a government that recongnizes all religions.

8. You hate Capitalism, love socialism!
Other economies compete well because industry is assisted at times, but that doesn't mean Socialism.

9. You hate the death penalty!
When DNA testing is not used and innocent people die, then I do. The death penalty has proven not to save money... and is not a deterrant.

10. You hate!
Look in the mirror.

11. You believe it's wrong to listen in on terrorists!
No, it is wrong to go behind everyone's back and claim that the least bit to disention is treasionus.

12. You are a card-carrying ACLU member!
Better then a card-carrying member of the "Heritage Foundation."

13. You believe Bush planted a bomb on the New Orleans dike!
Don't be stupid

14. You believe it was really Bush that destroyed the World Trade Center!
See #13

15. You believe the virtual infatuations of Mark Foley was worse than Bill Clinton’s last minute pardon of former Rep. Mel Reynolds, D-IL, who had been imprisoned for having sex with a 16-year-old staffer. (Jesse Jackson’s Rainbow/PUSH Coalition later hired him; both Clinton and Jackson had also had sex with subordinates.) Or the case of Rep. Barney Frank, D-MA, whose office housed a prostitution ring (could quote many more Democrat real sex scandals)!
"Virtual infatuations?" What it that was your son? Power hungry politicials on both sides of the idle think with their cocks. It is ALL BAD!

16. You are against Voter ID and favor anyone voting - felons (like Hillary does), illegal aliens, dead people, people voting more than once, etc.!
See #13 - Nothing wrong with Voter ID.

17. You promote teaching little children the joys of homosexuality in public schools!
The "joys" of homosexuality? How do you know? Seriously, ignoring homsexuality or sexuality in general is a bad idea.

18. You favor same sex marriage, marriage with animals, marriage with whoever or whatever!
Was this the same argument when blacks and whites were allowed to marry. Besides, my dog is cute.

19. You believe it is Bush beheading innocent people and not Muslims!
Are all Muslims guilty?

20. You believe people should be paying much more in taxes than they are now!
Better then borrowing the money to fund the war and screwing our kids by sticking them with the bill!!!!!

21. You feel that pulling out of Iraq is a good idea for the security of the USA.
Iraq is going down the toilet - why waste more money and lives there??

22. You feel that the declining deficit needs to get bigger with social handouts.
Where'd you get this?

23. You think that having the Chinese Central Bank buying up all of our debt is ok because Chinese love Clinton.
If we raised taxes a bit and lowered spending, we wouldn't have debt to sell.

24. You pay lip service to family values while you support pedophilia.
Here's a real bomb thrower. How do Dems support pedophilia? Like Foley and that POS "leader" of evangicals, or like Priests?

25. You believe only dumb people join the military (John Kerry), Al Gore invented the Internet, and stay at home moms are leaching off of their husbands/boyfriends (Kristin Sinema, Arizona Democratic State Legislator).
You twist bad jokes that you know were not meant to hurt the military (Kerry), futher claims that Gore said that he invented the Internet, although he was insturmental in pushing thru pro-internet legislation.

Dem all the way baby.

Agree or not, what to do in Iraq better not be a diversion - for all our sakes.

The question was a diversion. The issue was whether or not you should vote for Democrats, not what I personally would do in Iraq.

Well done! A worthy adversary who does much more than name call! There are so few like you here on this board, of any political persuasion. I agree with about half of what you responded. Well done sir!
