A Pirates Life for Me. (IC)

A while after the incident at the bar the two PGC guards made their way to the other city's cantina. They had already had a few drinks at the one across the way but were far from done. They were told to stay on this planet and keep that little lawyer away from the meeting. They didn't care they were getting paid quite a large sum.

They laughed loudly as they joked upon entering the bar. They were normally pretty good guys, always kept a watch on her but tonight was meant as a joke. One of the other representatives didn't want her at the meeting, they could understand she was growing soft on the uncivilized planets.

"Howdy," the tall sarconian said to the man sitting at the table. He hadn't seen one like him in quite some time, he wondered why but the alcohol had done it's job and he was pretty slow, not that the Ctarl to his right was doing much better with the liquor he was holding.

"What's this set up?" The Ctarl asked.

IC: I was outside dock 13. Apparently this was the bone-yards newest stock. A ship that had just been retired and was still docked, and being stripped. Its parts were untallied, unknown. I could see if anything was worth salvaging for me. Finding body parts at a bone-yard may seem a crap shoot to some, but honestly if you knew what you were doing it was quite simple.

I entered into the dock and immediately was surprised by a very functional and well kept ship. To my left was a second ship, a wreck and clunker of a beast. To my right was a blue lady, but I hadn't seen one of those since...

Ren sat at his table with his feet up, nursing his beer, when a sarconian and a ctarl came up to him, asking what he was doing. "I'm recruiting spacers boyo," he said pointing to the roster on the table. "You lookin' for a ship?"

"I'm recruiting spacers boyo. You lookin' for a ship?"

The two men looked upon one another and smiled. "Sounds like fun." The Ctarl said reaching for the pen. But the sarconian stopped him.

"Blaith... We still have to keep an eye on our ship... We're not done with this mission yet..."

"Oh yeah... Can't leave that one alone for someone to make off with now can we?" The laughed together. They could have been talking about anything.

"You can keep a secret?" He asked the captain.

The lavender PGC official looked up to see who was entering the dock but was surprised to see that it was not in fact, her two body guards. Oh, she was going to fire them when she got back, maybe hire someone who could keep at attention for more than ten minutes without thinking of some stupid joke that was, usually, very inappropriate.

Her eyes moved to meet the other young woman.

She nodded and continued to read her book, it was still boring, why hadn't she brought something a little more interesting than her history book. "Can I help you?" She asked as she looked at the other who seemed to be looking at her funny.

Genifur

IC: No, no. It couldn't be. After all why would she be here. Unless ofcoarse there is some sort of humanoid rights issue here.

"Are you Rynver Shynylye Zheyn?" I asked of the potential lawyer.

Ren moved close, interested, information fetched good money, and a good captain learned as much as he could. One never knew when such a thing could be useful. "Aye, I keep plenty. Yours should be no challenge."

"Are you Rynver Shynylye Zheyn?"

Rynver's eyes narrowed slightly. "I might be..." She answered looking the other woman over. "How can I help you..." She asked finally thinking it best just to ask instead of lurk in confusion and darkness. Her... her guards would be back soon right?

Blaith looked to the sarconian. "Reckon we should tell him Mathe?" He asked.

The bigger man nodded. "I don't see why not. He looks like a fine upstanding citizen," this was the liquor talking now. "I trust him... Wish I could join his crew..." He said as if a little saddened.

"Yes... I agree..." Blaith said. Silence for a moment and then they remembered.

"Oh... Well we're guarding something..." Mathe said.

"Something important..." Blaith continued.

"More like someone... A highly reguarded someone..." Mathe said with a smile. "She's beautiful..." He said.

"Don't be getting all goofy on me... She's a beauty but she's not one to mess with... She a high upstanding member of the PGC elite... Works in her father's place as a rep..." Blaith corrected.

Silence.

"Should we tell him her name?"

"I reckon we ought..."

"Miss Rynver Shynylye Zheyn is our treasure at this time... we have to keep her from the meeting... but protect her from pirates... What a funny job huh? And to think she's all alone right now..."

"We probably should get back..."

"One more drink?" Mathe asked. Blaith smiled.

"If the good captain's buying..."

IC: The woman glared a bit and answered my question indirectly. "It is good to finaly get a chance to talk to you. I am Genifur, and your my lawyer."

Rynver Shynylye ZheynRen thought wildly. The gods do favour me "Never heard of her, But you men are doing a fine job im sure, Have a drink on me." he said, getting Zasalamel's attention, then tugging on a dreadlock subtly. Zasalamel smiled, and covertly added a few drops of a tranquilizer to their drinks. Ren smiled "Zasalamel over at the bar is an old friend of mine, he'll take care of anything ya need." he said. I smell oppurtunity, a big one.

"It is good to finaly get a chance to talk to you. I am Genifur, and your my lawyer."

Rynver stared long and hard at the other and then the case dawned on her. She jumped up from her spot. "I... I didn't recognize you... Not right away," she said hurrying over. "How have you been? I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch," she apologized.

"Have you been looking for me?" She asked wondering how the other found her here.

Genifur

IC: "It hasn't been easy but at least I am not a slave. But I figured you were busy so really I haven't bothered to be in contact with you either. Besides it is expensive when you have nothing. Coarse I am doing some what better now."

She smiled when the other was talking about being better now. "Well that is a bit of good news. Are you working somewhere here on this planet?" She asked thinking that that was why she was here. "Maybe as a mechanic?" She offered hoping that if she was she could help with her silly ship.

"I was hoping to get to an appointment but it seems that I won't make it...." She sighed.

"Is your home around here?" She asked.

Genfiur

IC: "Not a mechanic any more. I became a first mate in fact, nothing to fancy but a better life then the one I started in."

"So no I'm not really on this planet much, I tend to flutter around wildspace actully."

Rynver was geniunely happy for the young woman. "Well, if you weren't looking for me here... What are you here for?" She asked her curiosit getting the better of her for a moment.

What? She didn't usually just chance across an old client...

Usually they were calling her needing her help again.

Genifur

IC: 'Well, if you weren't looking for me here... What are you here for?'

"Spare parts mostly. I have a mechanical skeleton you know. Oh that reminds me. Do you like the outfit?" I did a slight spin.

Rynver smiled at the other who seemed to be showing off. "Yes, you look very nice," she complimented. It had been a long time since she had just been left alone to talk to someone who was not another representative or someone who was supposed to watch over her.

It was kind of nice.

"Do you know exactly what it is that you're looking for?" She asked moving towards the wreckage of a ship that was docked next to her own. "Not that I can help in my current state of dress," she said motioning to the ceremonial dress that she was supposed to wear for the meeting.

Genifur

IC: "No I am mostly window shoping. Although a plasma engine would be nice, assumeing they had the right size."

"Are... you going to look for the engine in your new dress?" She asked thinking that such an act was odd and could be disastrous for the article of clothing. "There's no one that you have that can help you search the ship?" She asked curiously looking over the ship and seeing a few parts but nothing worth much.

Genifur

IC: I looked down at the outfit. "Yes."

"Is that a problem, should I buy a dress for part hunting? No ones mentioned it before."

"No darling that's not what I meant," she giggled at the woman's question. "You'll ruin your dress like that," she replied. "You may want to change before digging through the dirt and oil..." She suggested warmly.

Genifer

IC: "I see your point, but I always wear white gloves and have a trick for cleaning whites, so it shouldn't be a problem unless I contact an acid or some such."

Rynver smiled at the other who was so ready to go digging through the parts. "Whatever you wish to do," she said softly as she moved to look around for her guards. She didn't know where exactly the two oafs had gone off to. But she was tired of waiting. "Did you happen to see why my two guards went off to?" She asked thinking that it might be wise to go find them herself.

But how could that be a good idea?

She would be out wandering in a strange city with no protection.

Genifur

IC: "No I am afraid I didn't. If you'd like I can keep you company for a while. After all its not safe to be alone and unarmed."
