Aine - A New RP Thread (OOC)

That was simply disturbing!:D

And are you that eager to legally be allowed to drink alcohol? Its not that thrilling.
I'm entitled to do that since I'm 16 and I was never a big fan of it.
You can see me enjoy a glass of wine with my meal or perhaps after dinner as I watch a movie with my girl, but that is it.

Can't remember the last time I had a sip at something more powerful than wine. Well, there was that greek liquor...

What's disturbing about it? The legal limit here in the US is 21.

As for looking forward to being able to drink, no. I won't touch the stuff. There are better things I can spend my money on.

The scene you depicted was disturbing, not the legal age matter.

It used to be like that about 30 years ago, when Portugal was a fascist state. Legal age was of 21, for anything; before that, you were considered as a child. Except if the the political police wanted you in jail. Women weren't allowed to vote, weren't allowed to travel outside the country without husband's consent nor have a personal passport. Nurses could not marry. You get the picture....

But I'm glad to ear you are not eager to drink.

actually, did not...:D

but since you're the only person crazy enough to cope with my ramblings...
I gave a few moments of my thinking to that idea of mine for the new RP I'm planning.

...and...?

And I eventually realized I had to make a few changes in the story and upgrade my Athalans race bio.

I thought up of a more cloak and dagger story, with a monarch calling for mercenary's to rescue a group of captives from a far away kingdom.

What, no mass destruction or some guy who appears randomly and antagonizes the group? How crude. :D

Do you like Star Wars? And do you play video games?

your definitions of cloak and dagger are really far apart... since when can't a cloak and dagger mission turn into a wreck havoc situation? Especially with big men in it!

I was once more fan of video games than I am today, but I still enjoy them.
Starwars? The original trilogy, please.

Hmm, it's kinda hard to have a secretive mission if you leave a trail of destruction behind you. :D

How about a Star Wars video game that fills in the gaps between Ep. III and Ep. IV?

ehehe.... I'm making up the story in my head. I've thought about an alliance of kingdoms in wich a monarch suffers an invasion of his lands by a foreign enemy and when asking for help to his allies, nobody answers, so he has to call for mercenarys to help.

Starwars games were never my thing. I'm one of those purists that believe some things should be left alone.

Should be interesting to see the story once it's been hashed out completely.

As for the Star Wars games, there's one coming out that promises to blow all games, not just Star Wars games, away. Plus, George Lucas has officially declared this game a chapter in the Star Wars Saga, so what happens in the game, is officially part of the Star Wars timeline. They recently released the launch trailer for the game, and I've watched it probably 10 times in the past half hour. To put it simply, I'm excited beyond belief. *bounces in his seat in excitement*

*hands a glass of water with sugar to jedi*

That sounds interesting.

That page is too heavy for me too load where I'm at right now.

And over here, when someone gets too excited we the person a glass of water with (which is foul, to me) sugar to help her clam down and relax.

Huh. Odd custom. Oh well.

As for the page, get somewhere where it won't be too heavy and watch the damned trailer! *excited maniac laughter*

*scared*

get a old on yourself, man! As soon as I can, I will.

*continues hysterical laughter for a moment, then smacks himself a few times to regain control; takes a few deep breaths* Whooo! Hehehe! *smack* Okay, there, now I can hold a civilized conversation. *snicker; smack* Now...I can have a civilized conversation. Okay.

So, how's the weather over there?

*totally horrified*

Okay... The... the weather is just fine, thank you. A little cloudy now, but it will clear for the afternoon.

The weather here is excellent. Instead of it being 90 degrees F. as it usually is at night, it's about 73 degrees, which is simply wonderful. The reason for the dramatic difference from the norm is because it has been raining here for at least the past 6 to 7 hours, again wonderful.

And I must be off to bed soon. I'll stick around for one more quick post, then I'll say good night.

That's terrific, then! *grin* We've had our share of rain for the last 8 months; seems fair if some goes over there. Regarding the heat, it's not even mid Summer here.

Here, summer lasts starts around mid to late May and hangs around until Halloween. During that time, high temperatures range for the low 90s to mid to high 110s. And when it rains, we're happy because it's a reprieve from the oppressive heat. In fact, we get so little rain that it's a common joke to say that a 6 inch rain means one drop of rain every 6 inches. :D

Well, as I said I would stick around for one more post, this is it. Good night.
