Of feminism and Womanhood

I think we forgot one important aspect that this discussion needs.

To be feminine is to:
1. Place the needs of others before your own
2. Have kindness, sympathy and faith in your heart
3. Have the power to heal others, though you yourself might be broken
4. Have compassion for the sufferings of others

It matters little what's "down there". All that matters is what's in your heart.

Feminism is the ultimate emblem of self sacrifice.

When I was a pre-teen and forced to live with my dad, I got an ear full of male vs female definitions:

girls: sugar, & spice, & everything nice
boys: snakes, & snails, & puppy dog tails.

I finally realized that it was nothing more than another come-on line for a man to seduce a woman. While I am sexually aroused by masculine, muscular, hairy men; if such a guy was always thinking of his own needs first, unkind, unsympathetic, faith in nothing, etc; I might still fuck him, but I would never love him or think much about repeated encounters.

I don't have a good definition of masculine versus feminine, but perhaps that is why I have such a problem with the whole gender culture/religion that dominates our world culture. When I was young, I did tend to think in 100% in absolutes. Since my dad was an asshole, I tended to see most men as male sluts & devils that were only good for fucking, Likewise, I tended to see woman as Virgin Mary's and saints. While those stereotypes are hard to overcome even in myself at middle age, I try to keep an open mind. If I really thought all men were just horrible, I never would have been in the relationship I'm in now for 7.5 years with the same man.
