Boy, it's really hard to top the posts made here. Quite a few extremely good comments. You do need counseling. He is not making you a doormat. You are making yourself a doormat. I agree that he is a serviceman who wants and needs, not only for himself, but for show with his "buddies", that there is a woman out there who cares for him, "writes" to him, and is waiting for him when he comes home. The only trouble is he just wants to know this and have his buddies see this, but it will be a very different story when he actually comes home. He will then be free to find MRS. Right. and he has already sent you several messages that you are not her. You need to take care of yourself first before you can truly find MR. Right for you.
