I don't think it's snark if it is that ridiculous. I mean are these rocks not encased within my skull? Or are you trying to suggest that I have rock sized dander in my hair? In which case how is my head accommodating all that weight?

I see a lot of ugliness on how both extremes are commonly presented, as it is here.

"Abortion is murder" is pretty ugly.

Denigrating life or even the possibility of life is pretty ugly.

I just wonder how the pro-abortion people muster up the moral outrage to insist that killing the possibility of life is somehow the moral high ground.

Here are the two ugly positions and why they are ugly:

Denigrating those that have had to make that hard choice is below the belt.

Referring to life in such a dismissive way? Consider this: when it is wanted it would cause heartbreak if a miscarriage occurs. Those that ridicule the miracle that is life seem to suggest a position not based in psychologically sound reasoning.

If a pregnant woman's life is at risk and she must make that hard choice to terminate the child, yes, it is a hard choice as she is taking a life.

In all other cases, including pregnancy by non consensual intercourse, to take that life for the sake of convenience is not a moral choice open to a rational person.

That there have been fifty million abortions since roe v wade in 1973, should indicate that the now, 'legal', option to terminate a pregnancy, take a human life without cause of due process, is a travesty against the very concept of the value of human life.

There is and always has been prostitution in this world, where women sell their bodies and abort their children even when it was illegal. Prostitution is not a life style one should recommend to anyone, I think most would agree with that. The reason, because it cheapens the very act and corrupts the value of human attraction and the ultimate close personal experience of sexual intercourse.

I am often called old fashioned, a dinosaur, and many other pejoratives when I state that chastity and sexual abstinence before marriage is still a valid and essential moral precept if one is to have pride in one's existence.

It is not a religious dogma of any sort, rather a psychological conclusion concerning self esteem in both men and women and self pride in creating a family by choice and not by accident.

There is a story in my fictional novel, "Billy", about a college girl seduced by a Lit professor, no less, becomes pregnant and not understanding the moral imperatives involved, aborts the child. She suffers for years afterwards until a mental crisis occurs and she must face what she has done and try to understand and forgive herself for the mistake.

I will have to refresh my memory on the horrific statistics concerning how many women who have had an abortion, require substantial psychological treatment to help them face what they have done.

Yes, calling abortion what it is, premeditated, first degree murder, is harsh and hurtful to those women and girls who made that choice. But I try my best and recommend that others speak truth as they know it, regardless of the pain it may cause.

I know abortion to be the single worst stain upon America and all western societies.

I also know, that regardless of the terror of Islam and the global attempt to enforce Sharia law, gives them the high ground as they do not permit the taking of innocent human life.

On an international level, I suggest this is part of the reason why this administration in DC, supported by many, is withdrawing our former moral high ground to protect the rest of the word from oppression. You can read and feel it on this forum, many on the GB do not see America as I do and as many from my generation do.

I regret I feel compelled to confront your assertion, but I do and I must, always, if I am to remain true to my principles.
