As to the far left:
in an era of massive immigration when White locals will gradually become a minority:
-on one hand they encourage splitting on ethnic/religious identity lines, and they encourage minorities to talk about their identities
- but they censor and villify any discussion about White or Christian identity.

Such open discussions and reframing of issues around common national values could also engage fringe elements, instead of alienating and angering them.

There needs to be an open joint discussion about people's fears.
- Whites fear a dillution of White identity, that Muslim immigrants could be more faithful to overseas doctrines that advocate conversion of infidels to Islam, more than being faithful to their adoptive country
- Muslims fear that racism and Islamophobia from White locals

Both fears are legitimate, as far as they're not pushed to extremes.
