Some things to like about AZ

Ok so you dont ever have to shovel sunshine......
If it get's too hot....it's a good excuse to take some clothes off.....
Where else can you ride your bike in the middle of January....in shorts!!!
If you need to cool off Mt. Lemon is a 40 minute drive....(or a 4 hour bike ride)
If you want to ski, it's a 3.5 hour drive....(water or snow) Apache Lake, Pinetop
If you want the beach...Cali is only a 7 hour drive
Mexico only 4 hours away....




Ever made love outside in December/January/ without a part of you or your partners' anatomy freezing and falling off? I have.....mmmmmm


Well....since I can't live in Hawaii (God's gift to mankind) I'll take Arizona without too much whining.....

well thats my hometown but now i live out here in phoenix now since im goin to school..

That's a normal thing, here, sweetie. In January, when it's below freezing some mornings you will see the kids walking to school all bundled up in their winter coats, gloves and mittens, and wearing shorts...:eek:

Granted, not all, but a good many...!

Holy crap shykittyme, you've just described what I wear when I head out the door in Jan!!!.....well except the shorts part....I think I have made it known that I am a big wuss boy when it comes to cold so instead of shorts I would be wearing jeans with thermals underneath. ;)

And, ya, 36 posts! Whose a big boy now? *points at myself* That's right, Me!:D

Thermals???? My goodness you must be a native zonie...wait so am I!!! Sweatshirt and shorts......def zonie January attire.....:)

During last winter's closet and dresser clean out I got rid of most of my older sweaters because I wasnt wearing them anymore.. lol. Then in Jan I started working at a new job and they keep the ac cranking so you freeze all winter... :eek: I had to go buy new long sleeved tops.... :D
 
Hi Zonies!! What was up with the freeways this weekend... first it was the detour out through the farmlands out in tonopah, then the 101 and the 17 were both closed... made driving an adventure...

Hmm...not sure...but my theory is that ADOT always works these things out well in advance in order to create the ultimate in chaotic messes. I figure there's some nerdy geek sitting in his control booth somewhere looking at all the roadcams and chortling in glee... :D

I hardly ever wander around in that area, although I did once get stranded out near Tonopah on the interstate in August once upon a time....eons ago. I doubt that it's changed much. Hot and not much else. :D

Hope your visit with Babygirl was nice all the same... Any word yet on when she gets to come home?

Oh, and Happy Hump Day, Zonies!. Okay, now that that's done I'm off to get my 3 hours of sleep before going to work again tonight, which is all I get today after talking all morning, and making last minute, desperate football-practice-gear dashes to the school.:rolleyes: Ta Ta y'all!

I did my august roadside sitting when my tire blew out last month... fortunately it was morning.. just started getting hot about the time the tow truck driver got all done with me.. lol.
 
No, Itigirl, not a native of AZ. Moved out here in 1990 to go to college and never left. I'm just a big baby when it comes to cold. ;)

Hope all of the Arizonians had a pleasant day today and that a good day is had by all tomorrow. :)

thats about where I am now also... although this guy in town is nagging about coming over..lol. But I dont know him well enough yet to bypass a public meet and give him my address..lol
