I've always had a great time everytime I go to the states, and since Arizona is right next to us its easier for us to go shopping up there and just getting away for a while. People have always been nice to us and I've met some reaaaally awesome people too. My friends and me had a bit of a bad experience last time we were there though, and while I know its not everyone's fault, it makes it a bit hard to want to go back.

Actually, I've followed the Arizona Thread for some time. I just decided to get involved. But I'm afraid my efforts might be wasted considering the lack of activity. Now I see that you're moving away this spring. Will the thread die without you?

I will still pop in here! The move is job related and the plan is to retire back to Lake Havasu in 10 years..

That is the terrible aspect of the changes.. My son had the same issues in so cal due to the color of his skin.. profiling is never good..

Ten years is a long time to be away from home. I hope the thread can stay alive that long.

The weather has been quite pleasant, yes. But talking about the weather is not what I would consider provocative.


It's easy to be optomistic but I think we will have one more hot spell before Autum actually sets in. Remember, the Autmnal Equinox isn't until September 23rd.

No tan lines!

As long as the nights cool down a bit and I have cold water in the shower I'm good! :D

I'm not real sure what that's supposed to mean but as long as it makes you happy, then you GO GIRL!

Since weather seems to be a common topic here...

It's very lovely this morning in Central AZ; cool, overcast, no breeze. Ideal weather to bust out the weed wacker. Time to get to work.

In the summer time out here, when you turn on the cold water tap it sometimes comes out hotter then the hot water tap. Well water stored in above ground 'hot water heaters' also known as tanks. So the return of cold water is a blessing..

Went to Cali for the weekend to watch my nephew race around in circles. Was a good race and he came in third! Was good to be able to watch him race. I will miss that when I move.
 
I'll be "racing" down to Chandler for work Monday & Tuesday. That will make coming home Tuesday night worth while.

Time to pack.
