Art for Arts Sake, Not Necisarily Erotic in Nature

Thanks for the compliments, just something I do, not trying to be artistic just trying to stay out of trouble! lol

I have a couple hand saws that I painted for my hubby's uncle, one of his house and one of his buddy's house and farm. I have to find them, scan them and shrink them before I submit, but they are pretty much the only thing other than my sketches that are real forms of art. Uncles house was the first one painted, not too bad to do, turned out awesome for a first timer, the buddy's house, well that was interesting. The person that invented the polaroid did a disservice to picture taking. It is wayyyy too hard to get shadow and highlight effects off a polaroid, but I managed. I was given 6 polaroids and had to patch the pictures together to get the farm on the saw. The only thing I was disappointed in and repainted a dozen times was the training track for the horses. I wish I had gone to see the land myself to see how it fell into place. But not bad for a second go of it.

My next saw to paint is a cross cut saw, its about 6' long and Im tossing ideas around on what to paint on it. Id love to paint my hubby's parents home on it, but knowing they are well into their 70's and likely downsizing I feel it may be a waste. The other idea is to paint a 'Jimmy Buffet' type scene on it for hubby. Margaritaville with the ocean and palm trees etc. Oh well someday it may get done.
Now to find those pictures.

LOL

I like your lizards, Rhino.
But for a second I read the title as "Lizard docked".
I expected to see something else.

:D

oooh...hahaha!

thats great. you should do a lizardman series. but i think lizardman should be bi...

yeah my vision was that he's a man's lizardman.

but hey versatility is a good thing. :)

however, youu have the skills to materialise your vision.

yes, but it's kinda like when someone else makes a sandwich for ya, it always seems to taste better than if i'd made it myself.

yanno? haha. lizard cock..yeah.

Call me sick, but I like your second version even better.

LOL

Ok, off to do some packing.

Have fun.

:D

Another image from a little flyer called Slingstones. The image is deliberately made to be either male or braless female, depending on the viewer's preference.

It was done in pen using my daughter to get the arm right (stand like this a minute, honey?) I have seen David-style slings. Aficionados will recognize the proper technique the slinger here employs. Readers of the flyer most likely will never realize, but such is the lonely life of the military history buff.

I shall always be warmed by your praise, Jonathan. I am a dabbler, but I feel more competent when you are positive. For me the best thing about it is the pen squiggles that each seem loose and easy but that build an image in an organized way. It makes an impression that I have the situation well in hand, even though I really sweated bullets over each one.

I like the squish ~~~spurt~~splashing going on here.

I was just wondering if this type should move to your thread? lol
Of course this won is titled "Not Necesarily Erotic. so I guess it does fit in :D

Now off to lunch.

I'll move these over to the other thread.

I think they fit fine here. You've got a little series going on.

I love the space babe ....gives a new meaning to the term "bubble head"

I thought it was a quick two minute sketch, judging by the spontaneous feel of the lines. Cantdog you have a knack. And the squiggles add to the action pose the stone thrower is in. Well done old man!

wow! I never realised two lizards having an intimate moment could be so beautiful! I'm really impressed with the art work on this thread. There is so much talent. I shall wait in eager anticipation for more!
