How many "extra" characters in a story before it gets too crowded.

The main male in my story comes from a large family. Three sisters and one brother sound acceptable? Should they all be introduced or just a couple?

Depends on what you are aiming for. I mean if he is screwing someone that is good friends with one of his sisters and they met at another sister's party, it would make sense. The big thing is to ensure that you are as detailed as possible as long as it holds the reader's attention. :kiss:

Why? In most cases, people tell white lies as ways to either protect themselves or to protect others. Perhaps they are protecting others from their own reality.
Is Honesty always the best policy? I think it is as long as it is covered with tact. There is such a thing as being too honest, but it's better to know the truth rather than believe a lie.
I always want the truth just because it is better to know the score. Those who are really close to me know that I am a very guarded person and part of the reason is because of honesty.

Depends.

If it is someone you are not familiar with, keep guarded because you are not sure their intentions.

If it is someone you are sure of, then lay it all out because it is better in the long run. There are too many people who take advantage of people who lay it all out in this world. It causes too much pain and it still hurts the ones who are affected.

Better to have one or two really good ones than 100 not so good ones. It's one category when one would say quality better than quantity.
