I assume this refers to dwarf tossing ... I have never found any, except when I was looking.

Azul, is there a professional dwarf tossing league? If so, where can I find a schedule on the web for upcoming events? Is this something to which I could expect Morri would give me a personal introduction?
lol......

Dwarf tossing....sounds like a job for Google. The tossers Morii was talking bout were guys who were not worth a second date, but you knew that I think.

Ah, so not the same group then.

Can I asume from your answer, and the distinction that you drew between the two, that Morri would like a second date with a dwarf tosser?

Should I sign myself up for the development league, just in case?

Can you explain why children refuse to pick up after themselves?
It's based on the way they start out. As babies,it is the parent's resonsibility to clean up after them. Even though the parent's can try to get them to be responsible enough to clean themselves up, they can't grasp why it is important until they are much older.

I feel for you.

I found I only needed a short leisurely walk, so the need to drive to get there is actually a GOOD sign.

If the messes they make are only little, they haven't reached puberty yet. Just wait ...

LMAO...yeah well, the messes are small but they make them everywhere. It's almost overwhelming at times.

Puberty scares me...seriously.

One of these days, my daughter will receive her first dose of the curse and I am truly scared for it.

First dose? I'm pretty sure you don't have to pour it down her throat.

Just make sure she's instructed in advance as to what will happen, make sure she cares supplies and perhaps have at school a change of clothes in her locker, if necessary. It doesn't have to be exceptionally traumatic if she knows what's going to happen. Unless, of course, she's already sexually active, and then the implications are pretty rough. Not implying anything, but some kids start VERY early these days. We had our talks quite early on. Plus she had observed cats before ...

She's already had the talk with the missus and she's only ten.

It's a good time to start ... she's old enough to understand, and young enough to have a little time to prepare.

Don't make a big deal out of it ... just treat it like it's a normal part of a healthy woman's life, which it is ... it's just a part of maturing.

I knew one girl when I was in school, class clown, who knew exactly what was going on, but hammed it up in front of one of the teachers. The teacher didn't know what to do, she thought the girl was going into hysterics. The girl laughed about it for weeks.

That could be my daughter. She's such a smartass sometimes. :D

Dear Azul:

Can people really change? Or are we destined to repeat the past?

Thinking about the future,

Dear Azul,

Why is it when you know you have to get up really early, you cant seem to get tired enough to go to sleep?

I have to be at work long before the sun rises, and I know I should get some sleep, but for some reason I feel more dancing. :nana: :nana: :nana:

Dearest Nowgirl,
A person can only change when there is motivation for them to change. When there is no reason, a person is less inclined to change. Many times, people believe that they can change someone else without realizing that it is a fruitless errand. On the other hand, the thoughts of death or losing one that they love or even financial motivation are but a few reasons why people change.
Are we destined to repeat the past? The saying goes that history repeats itself, but I don't believe it just because I believe we all have the ability to change the future just by making decisions. It is written that decisions are like vegetables for we must deal with both. Besides, predestination just is an excuse to not take a risk for a better gain.
Maybe too deep for almost 1am here, but I hope it helps.

Dearest Subbie, with permission. ;)

You just have a surge of adrenaline that is keeping you from sleeping. So what's the occasion? Is it a special day of work, first day of work since your weekend? Obviously, something has you all worked up.
I remember the days prior to a big event that it was near impossible for me to sleep. The good news was that I was and still am a light sleeper, especially with a good alarm clock. I would recommend a nice slow session of self exploration to help wear you down a bit. ;)

Dear Azul:

Do you think on-line relationships can be successful? Along those lines, if ou are committed to someone else in "real" life do you consider cyber sex cheating?

Dearest Nowgirl:  by the boatloads.
I believe any relationship can be successful as long as everyone involved is honest and comunicating. Whether online or offline, relationships all need honest and open communication.
As for the cyber sex, I believe it depends on the relationship. if the real life partner is ok with it, then it isn't cheating. It becomes cheating when there is dishonesty involved. From personal experience, I can say that my partner cheated, but only because there were lies to cover them up involved and it took a ton of attention away from me and our relationship. Since then, things have healed as we have opened up so that we are more tolerant of our online antics.

thanks for the honest response, azul.

i wasn't necessarily thinking of myself when i asked this... i've seen so many on-line "relationships" sort of blow up in a huge way & it changes things so dramatically. i've been there myself...

another question as i sit here shivering... do you believe in global warming?

I do believe in some parts of global warming. But there are a ton of questions I have on how much of the damage was done by us versus done before mankind roamed the Earth.

Hey Az *wink*

Ummmm why is grass green? *wink*
;)

Because grass contains chlorophyll which gives plants their green color and allows them to change the mixture of carbon dioxide and sunlight into food.
