Ah yes, makes sense.

That's tough. There's the obvious list, but I think one that many people wouldn't think of is "Inside the Third Reich", which is Albert Speers memoir. I think it's important because he's one of the few top leaders of the Nazi regime (and very close to Hitler) who wrote anything (and survived to write it). For me it helped answer the question, "how could this happen?" I think it's also a good warning for others.

But ask me tomorrow and my view might change.

I haven't, but close. I had a Christmas job. It was supposed to last the month, but after four days I quit. I think I would have gotten fired if I hadn't, the boss and I just didn't communicate well. Half my fault I'm sure, I was young and dumb too.
