Ask the Demon

*coughs into hand* Sharing can be fun, especially when its more the merrier.

And I am being nice. Sarcastic, but nice.

So I'll take care of the technical, non needy questions?

Technical questions regarding Literotica.com, sure. Other than that, no.

Nice try, though.

And, BTW, I'm always up for sharing, and more is always merrier.

Don't spill all of the beans mister!

New question from the Nerd Kitten:

Who's Hotter?
http://sasuke-zelda.galeon.com/image/tengo.jpg
Aya Natsume (left) or Maya Natsume (right)?

Aya. Since the only two differences seem to be their eyes and hair, and I like the open inviting eyes more and the red hair better than silver (silver is more of an anime guy's hair color in my opinion), I'll take the nicer looking redhead.

It's so much more satisfying when they break than the hard-edged ones.

Vandalheart, Sir,
*phew* i have found You......
Is this place as scary as it looks? (which is technically not my question, just a side note)

My question is this, why do potential employers need two weeks to decide if they are going to hire You or not? i mean seriously, what do they think is going to change so drastically in that two weeks??? grrrrr...

Love ya,
Kali

I used to wonder that same thing every time I had to go through the waiting period, Kali. This is the best explanation I've been able to surmise.

Some employers have a history of telling people they're hired and then the new employee disappears off the face of the planet a few days later. Two weeks just seems like an adequate set waiting period.

They need time to process paperwork so that you're not working there for a week and a half before they figure out that they don't want to/can't hire you for whatever reason. Those types of problems are usually discovered within two weeks.

Those are the big two, but there are a few other little reasons. Two weeks is usually a good timeline to let office people catch up on paperwork, so that's usually the baseline for a waiting period.

Dearest Vandal,

Why is it that I get so many of these silly chain emails that promise me what I wish for if I send it to X number of people? I've passed on the last 4 with the same wish, and I have yet to get it.... please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

you're looking into the wrong source of ethereal assistance. you need to sell your soul to a demon.

Hehehe.

Dear Vandal,

Have you made any New Year's Resolutions, and if so, do they include finally heading to Seattle to ravish me after all these years of teasing and tempting me with your sexy demon bod from afar?

Sincerely,
nova

Dearest Vandal hearts & flowers,

I heard a rumor that you auditioned for AI. Is this true and were you filmed so that I might catch a glimpse of you in all your VandalHeart glory?

Sincerely,

~Daizie

If I show up on the show, it is going to be in the Omaha Auditions episode. Look for a guy in a black baseball cap.

However, I didn't make it in front of the three judges, so don't bother looking for me there.

Awww that's too bad. :(

No. I don't do resolutions. Although that would have been a good one.

Cute, Clerky. But we don't do that sort of thing around here. Law. Ick.

A Priest can try. *Shrug*

And usurper nothing... I am, by no means, attempting to overly the rightful master of this thread. As chaotic as he is, he is in charge.

Long live the demon.

dear demon can Hollywood make a sequel better then the original

It's possible. Not likely, but possible. Cases in point:

Aliens.

Godfather, part II.

Star Wars, episode 5: The Empire Strikes Back.

Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust (as long as "Hollywood" means any filmmakers, not just the ones in LA).

And I can't really think of any more, but at least it can be done. The problem is, most people judge a movie by how they feel when they leave the theater. New movies on a new story are all fresh and clean, no backlog of recollection to muddy the waters. When a sequel comes out, there is a standard that the new movie must surpass, therefor, 99 times out of 100, the movie-goer walks away with a let-down feeling. Some sequels are actually better than the original, but the expectation ruined it for most people. It is a great ability to judge each piece of art by itself, but it is also a hard ability to develope.

My Dearest Vandal,

I thought I had sold my soul to you. Did I miss something?

kasumi

Oh...wait...*rummages around in messenger bag*...oh, yeah. In that case, the deal is already complete, no more bleeding the rock.

Dear Vandypoo ^^

How come I cannot pay attention when I try to read a Marvel or DC comic, but I pay full attention to Manga's or anything from Vertigo?

Marvel and DC have had so many retcons and subplots that went nowhere or were pointless that it's hard to follow them anymore. Plus, most Mangas and Vertigo storylines have an eventual end. V for Vendetta was a limited run story. Sandman comics can be taken one at a time and then left alone completely, because the storyline may go on forever, but there are always points at which the threads are all tied up and completed, in a sense.

Basically, Marvel and DC are schizophrenic, which makes their readers schizo while reading them.

*leaves an offering of chewing gum..it was all I had in my purse*

What does the might Demon suggest for cleaning the keys of a laptop and the wrist rest? Mine is all grungy.:D

Well, Endust for Electronics is the secondary standard, while the primary is the canned pressurized air, but now I'm wondering...how did it get so dirty?
