Ask the Demon

Dear Demon,

Why do some people on here take posts so seriously....especially the stupid posts or ones simply asking for an opinion?

Dearest MSL,

I really hate to be the one to have to tell you this, but some people have no lives and/or simply take everything WAAAAAY too seriously. Example:

My posts are near the bottom, but the entire article is a good read. Pay attention to the user known as "Sickfreaks."

Now, why the hell did he do that? Why did he feel the intense need to call all of us lambasting Fox News "socially inept nerds"? Because he took the entire thing too seriously. There is something to be said for stepping into the middle of a fight to make a difference. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. did that, and he made a lot of progress. Nothing wrong with trying to make a difference. But what the fuck was SF hoping to accomplish? Were we all to see his response with it's deplorable grammar and repetitive word usage and think, "Oh, my, I have erred. Perhaps I should apologize for being such a dick. Sickfreak is such a wise person." No. I'm sorry, but I just don't take that many crazy pills per day. Not in the doctor's orders.

In essence, people can't take a fucking joke anymore. If they did, people would have long since stopped sending hate mail to t-shirt hell. They would have simply learned to change the channel when South Park comes on. They would have learned to explain to their children that there is life after high school instead of teaching them that guns hurt people and then ignoring them everytime they said people at school were mean to them. People have somehow come up with the idea that the right to free speech is all well and fine, but they also have the right to not be offended. This is horseshit. Judging from your signature line, I'm guessing people get offended by your posts a lot. If you aren't in the mood to re-evaluate your posts to see if any of them crossed over the line (which you have every right to refuse to do as long as they fall in line with the TOS of the site you're on), then fuck them. However, I would like to point out that you have the ignore feature as well. All things considered, though, I think everyone should learn to utilize their own, nature given, built in ignore feature.

This is to everyone: look, people, some of us are bastards and bitches. We enrich the world. Fuck you if you want doldrums, because we won't put up with them. It is a fool's prerogative to utter truths that no sane man would dare speak, and it is the brash person's prerogative to say the things you don't have the courage to say. We may break down the social lubrication that is manners once in a while, but if you learned to accept the wisdom that we have to offer, you may learn a thing or two. Stop trying to censor people. Stop trying to control all of the world that is not your children while ignoring your children. Take some personal responsibility. If something offends you, turn it off or put up with it.

Hope this helped.

What is the charm/medallion on your necklace?

The Punisher's skull. I have gotten to the point in my life wherein the list of my favorite comic book super heroes is thus:

10. Some superhero whose name I cannot remember for the life of me, but he came out around the same time as Spawn, had powers derived from a pair of mystical gauntlets, and looked a lot like Spawn...plus he was black, so I think they were trying to copy him a bit.
9. Wolverine
8. The Phoenix (Rachel, not Jean)
7. Professor X
6. Chamber
5. Cable
4. Grey from the Witching Hour (you may have to look this one up)
3. V
2. Batman
1. The Punisher

Now that you have all of that useless knowledge about me, what else would you like to know?

What was your favorite poster and Saturday morning cartoon as a kid?

What are your top 5 movies?

5. South Park, Bigger, Badder and Uncut
4. Flight of the Navigator
3. Princess Diaries (shut up, I have my tastes and I am secure in my masculinity)
2. Hellraiser (the first one...the rest pissed me off, and even the first one could have used work, but it was close enough to the book to qualify as awesome)
1. Fight Club

Tiss tiss...who said I would judge?

What is the best and worse way to die in your opinion?

Tiss tiss...who said I would judge?

What is the best and worse way to die in your opinion?

The worst way to die is slowly and painfully for no reason and with the knowledge that your life has been wasted.

The best way to die is in successful defense of someone or an ideal that you love, quickly enough to be classified as not too painful, but slow enough to be able to say goodbye.

Well, if you're gonna lurk, you need to put that line in your siggy back.

Just my opinion.

I can't. He won't let me. But I do have it saved....*evil grin*

I would like to make the argument that all lives are a waste. Pointless existence to which we all suffer than rot while the earth is further polluted?

You don't need to shut up. I didn't say you were wrong. For the most part, you're right, but that can be changed. It's just difficult.

Someone really needs to know when I'm teasing and when I'm not.

There is no right or wrong answer with this. However I really don't think we can bring back the dodo bird.

Shall we think up some more questions for his wisebigbraininess?

Like...where are my keys???

*giggles and tickles IttyBittyKitty* ;)

I know when you're teasing, at least most of the time. My words still stand.

Besides, leaps are being made in genetics every day. Now, isn't that a comforting thought?
