Avatar: Lightning strikes (OOC)

The last thing the world needs is more AMVs containing Linkin Park.

Only amv I've ever been inspired to do was(to my shame) with music by Aly & AJ... but it would've been really awesome looking if I hadn't have found out my computer doesn't read dvds. Y_Y

though I actually hadn't thought of that Linkin Park song in AMV terms .. I can now DEFINITELY see one involving the non-existent graphics of this rp..... and it would be the most awesome thing EVER

I'm so very 'meh' on parts of my Kaz post. So, again, if there are any problems in that department, then I'm open to suggestions.

The other posts, however, are perfect and anybody who feels otherwise is wrong. Wrong, I tell you!! WRONG!!! *shakes fist*

Psh, all of that was awesome.

Here's a funny question, though.

Are their glasses-- stay with me now --actually made of glass?

Hmm are their glasses….made of glass….what a conundrum.

For glass is made by using a combination of fire, earth and water bending materials, which could be seen as symbolic of their union with Zhuang and Kayna. At the same time, Kaz can tend to favor the purity of the Fire Nation, and would thus prefer not have Lady Azula drink out of anything which was made with bendable materials by enemy nations.

Or you could just be asking for clarification. At which point? Um, if you had anything in mind for the glass, then they can stay that. Otherwise? I suppose steel would be the most likely substance for drinking glasses in an industrial city.

then you have lightning striking sand type of glass...... I suddenly envision Iroh having the most unique tea cups in all of the Earth Kingdom in his shop... but that's neither here nor there

Yeah, I've been wracking my brain trying to remember how prevalent actual glass is in The World of "Avatar," or whether it's a rare, unusual thing, only created-- as Unseen made mention --as the first glass was in our world, with lightning striking the sand.

If, however, the glasses used here actually are made of glass, my fella might, having gotten a mite tipsy, see fit to show off a little. Prove how clear-headed he could be? But if they're not made of glass, I can easily save that stuff for another time.

Overthinking things, as per usual.

Um, we talking about you or Katara here? *ducks*

And I wonder where Toph has been hiding lately? Probably doing stuff off panel with that Fire Nation guard who was getting friendly with her and Katara prior to the time jump.

Actually, both. :: chuckles ::

...go get it, Toph!

(His name was Kurzen.)

Toph was used to restart the thread.
She was outside for awhile, then went in.
To do.... stuff.

Eh she'll be back.

You think so?

:: pauses ::

I would like for her to not be gone. I would especially like for her to not be gone forever.

That would suck.

:: tries desperately to be practical, isn't good at it ::

But what do we do in the meantime?

Theoretically, would anyone feel up to taking on Toph or Azula, at least 'till Lily feels better?

Or should we put the thread back on hiatus? I mean, we just did the necromancy dance to get this thing back in the first place...

oh yeah..she'll be back.... and I doubt any of us will need a timeskip to get back into things once she does....so...

no need to be antsy about it

If push comes to shove Toph can be in the background unless we want to bring her up and Azula can just still be laying low albeit silently as it were

The best thing I can think of doing is continue working on certain character developments (the Water Tribe trio, Aang's group, those at the Fire Nation other then Toph) but write around Azula's group and Toph until Lily may wish to return.

I don't want to do this without her, especially since I love her takes on the girls, so hopefully she'll feel better and be able to pick up her characters in the near future. At the same time, well, it seems a shame to let this die out again after so long.

So, yeah, I'd like to try and keep it moving but with an opening for her to return. Toph could easily slip back into things with Zuko and others, while Azula's group could take a short break and later use a mini-jump to after they nearly finished drinking (perhaps started talking more frankly, getting down to business at that point).

Or we could let someone pony them along when needed like we have with Sokka in Soru's absence; basically keeping them active yet with an opened invite for Lily to step back in when she wants. Either one could work fine.

Pft, it's easy for you to be calm. I was THIS close to getting Lily's Azula into the sack.

Thanks for being rational, you guys.

(I think my heart's starting to slow back down again, now.)

:: chuckles softly :: At least you got that close!

I mean, UM's new crackship just got me thinking, and five minutes later, Toph's gone in a puff of stonedust.

Eh, I'm still a little hysterical, I should go lie down or something.
