I learned to program first in 1983, with a mainframe that had LESS memory than the size of a song!

And price! My first computer cost me around $3000. Now, you can get a good computer for 500 or less.

Oh RJ, how I know this... years ago I worked at a bank...when they used big magnetic open-reel tapes for storage (no idea what I'm talking about? see this at 0:25)
I bet all of that fits on a USB drive now...

Yah... I bought a 17" laptop in the fall for $470 Canadian. I think it was $430 US. Best I could find in Canada for the same specs was 600.

My dad worked at a bank, was a courier. The computer department there had reel-to-reel AND punch cards. They'd give me the cards that they were to throw out. My friends and I would use them to build tunnels for our Hot Wheels, or use them to make the motorcycle sounds on our bikes.
A 4gb USB flash would have 3bg left LOL

Ooh...lively debate. The price of everything techy has gonedown. I worked at radio shack and I remember waiting for memory cards that held less then one gb to go on sale. I bragged the day I brought my computer up to holding one tb and that wasn't very long ago. Now its almost standards to get a 1 tb minimum
