Biden's Legacy

If he had done nothing to help, Ukraine would now have a Russian-puppet government like Belarus.
You should post something of substance to the thread instead of just throwing one liners

Biden's legacy is 600 thousand dead Ukrainian soldiers, a European security architecture in ruins and a probable genocide in the Middle East (pending adjudication by the ICJ). He has been an awful president.

🙄

“600 thousand dead Ukrainian soldiers”…

Helping Ukraine would have been not putting them on track to NATO membership - a Russian red line. Helping Ukraine would have been not interfering in their elections by removing from power a democratically elected president in a US sponsored regime change operation (Maidan coup). Helping Ukraine would have been accepting the deal Ukraine had struck with Russia in March of 2022 that would have ended the war right then. So many opportunities, but here we are.
Fuck Russia

I don't really understand the intent behind this expression. Russia is a world power whether you like it or not. They are a nuclear super power and they have legitimate security concerns. If we don't sit down and talk with them, bad things will happen.
Lol

Fuck Russia. Fuck Putin.

They don't deserve a seat at the table until Putin is six feet under

Presidents cannot always be popular. Harry Truman is now regarded as one of the best, but he was never very popular at the time. George W.M.D. Bush set popularity records, yet even just fifteen years later you hardly even hear about the man. History will be the judge.

The Russian Federation is a great power, it might no longer be a super power. But they won't go quietly into the night. This narrative that they don't have legitimate security concerns is perplexing to me.
Putin isn't concerned with security. He wants to reunite the republic.

Putin is responsible for those soldiers' desths

And Hamas is responsible for the Gaza desths

Keeping Ukraine out of NATO is not a legitimate security concern.

The Soviet Union? No he doesn't. Ukraine has long been a sensitive subject for Russian security. Ask yourself this: if Mexico was on track to join an ostensibly defensive alliance that included Russia and China, and this alliance reserved the right to place intermediate range missiles on Mexican territory, how do you imagine the US would react?
You're a Russian stooges.

He'll be remembered a lot like Carter. At the time the haters kicked and screamed that he was a failure and there was a lot negative to point to. But the reality is that he was coming in to clean up after an epically horrible previous administration and he was dealing with situations globally way beyond his control that made it basically impossible for anyone to look like they did a great job. But he's a very good man and honest and caring for his country and it's people and spent his life doing good and with time to reflect wiser and honest minds will recognize he did much more good than bad despite all that. He also has the immense advantage that the president before and after him is the worst president ever by far and a horrible human being, so history will compare Biden very kindly due to that.

I don't believe that at all. He wants to talk to us, he was always very pro-Western. Our policies have caused this mess in Ukraine.
What Putin wants is to make Russia a world power of the first rank once again, like it was when the Communists ruled, like it was when the tsars ruled. And the international community cannot afford to allow that.

You're wrong. If you study the history, you will know that invasions into Russia went via Ukraine. This is incredibly sensitive. NATO on Russia's border has been a non-starter since the collapse of the Soviet Union when the West promised Russia that NATO would not advance one inch to the East. The lack of empathy is astounding to me.
Russia already has NATO members on its border -- Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Finland -- and it's just as safe and secure as it was before they joined.

Yes. But Ukraine is extremely sensitive and if you look at the history you will know why. This lack of understanding of our rivals is what causes problems. Russia has a legitimate security interest in Ukraine. For anyone who studies geopolitics in any depth, this is self-evident.
Fuck Russia

Putin killed thousands of Russian and Ukrainian soldiers for no reason.

I know you're coming from a good place. But the world isn't as black and white as you'd like it to be. There was a deal on the table between Russia and Ukraine in March of 2022 to end the war. It was signed. The US and UK told Ukraine not to do it. And here we are today. We have that blood on our hands.
Russia invaded Ukraine. Russia has been responsible for all deaths resulting from their invasion.

If you need to be a Russian stooge, that's not my issue. If Russia wants to save lives, they should stop their invasion of Ukraine.

No deal was necessary before Russia invaded Ukraine.

Ukraine rejected the deal offered in 2022. It was never finalized nor signed.

That is impossible to believe. Zelenskyy has repeatedly ruled out any peace settlement that allows Russia to keep the territory it grabbed in 2014. Did this 2022 deal return Crimea to Ukraine?

OK. I am not going to change your mind and that is fine. I'll just say this. If Mexico joined a "defensive" alliance and left open the possibility of installing strategic missiles on its territory, you and I both know what the US would do. Peace out my friend.
More Russian horseshit. Keep sucking Putin's cock.

Russia invaded Ukraine. All deaths of this war are a result of the invasion.

You don't address the argument. Insults are not arguments. That's the main problem with political discourse right now
You don't have an argument. Russia already has NATO on their border and has actually increased the number of NATO countries and troops because of their actions.

Your hypothetical comes straight from pravda

Keep sucking the Putin cock like Reichy

The lack of empathy will be what ends our species and our world. And it won't matter who sucks who's cock. I rarely wade into these political discussions because it's a sad showcase of the shit-show that is our sad, fucked up species.
I have empathy.
Putin is an autocratic dictator who throws Russians to their death.

You are a Russian stooge who thinks that Russia wants peace even after they invaded a sovereign nation for no reason.
