Biker's Run..........................

Hmmmm, even with the running boards my knees are still bent. Maybe the Interstates sits lower. Althou I would think your 86 sits just as low... I guess I didn't realize how much of a midget you are... ;)

Well SirGary I can't imagine there is a whole hell of a difference other than the accessorys ... I don't remember if the 79 GL1000 had air suspension. The air suspension make a very big difference in the ride. Christ you can see the tar strips on the road but you don't feel them. Let me know how you make out with Murray Bros. Like I said he did a great job setting up mine.... :D

For the record I like ol'e bikes. It won't be long before the government figure out it can rip off the people and start emissions testing the new bikes... ;)

I'll have you know I'm not short, just vertically challenged...

Here in VA we don't have emmisions on bikes but they make you get an inspection sticker every year like cars do.

Yep you are a biker babe in the making.... ;)

I think thats a good thing, and guys on bikes seem to like the way I look.

I don't tend to notice people looking at me. I'm trying to get better at it, and doing o.k. I've noticed several guys on bikes looking at me now. I look like the girl next door, nicely dressed, so it wasn't anything sexy.

I tend to focus visually on specific things and miss the rest. One guy I talked with several times, and even once with his shirt off in the summer, a neighbor, I hadn't noticed he had tattoos up both arms. lol One day, I was surprised, and said wow, you have a lot of tattoos. lol I was looking at his face, his eyes when we talked. :)

Connecticut only inspects vehicle when you register them from out of states. We don't have a yearly inspection. We do not have a yearly motorcycle or car inspection. We do have a yearly emissions test. My 1981 Honda GoldWing Interstate doesn't have any emission equipment on it to determine if it's working properly. Therefore it would be exempt from testing... :D

Good morning, everyone... :)

It's been a exciting morning so far. Some where along the line I picked up a virus. It got be my virus scanner. Didn't want to spread it around so I took care of it with Spyware Doctor.

It's another cloudy morning today with strong possibiltys of scattered shower again... :( I think I will head on over the the storage unit and play with the bike this afternoon.

Want to wish everyone a great Monday. Will talk with ya all later... :D

Thanks, I'd love to take you up on the offer. I'm barely scraping by here to cover the bills. Have to wait until I'm well enough to go and find a room mate, the rent is to high in this apt. So, need to get through 4-5 months, then find room mate when well enough. I think I'll be off the internet by the end of the month.

Good morning, girls and boys... :)

It's a work day for me today... :( It's gonna be another hot humid day day. Got some violent T storm yesterday. The weather guess'r are predicting the same today. We can always use the rain... :) My herb garden is growing like hell, my tomato plant are about 4 foot tall with small tomatos starting, and even my pepper plant are doing excellent.

I am sorry to hear about your situation Lorelei. Hopefully I'll be moving in the next six months and my apartment will be available. It's a small one bedroom unit with heat and hot water included for only $750.00 a month. It is with in walking distance to stores. It's a very quit and safe country area.

Well gang time to get ready for work. Want to wish everyone a super great day... :D

Yeah talking about high rent check out DC. WoW Too things I hate about this area too many people and high cost of living. I pay 700 for a room in a shared apt. That is more than my house payment was back home in Arkansas.

The entire eastern seaboard is off the charts with pricing. I knew things were bad when Manassas Park houses were selling a few years ago for 300G.

It's also getting to the point around here that one will have to ride a 100 miles west or further before you'll find enough country where there aren't that many people. Good thing the battlefields are protected or I am sure a mega mall would be built tomorrow.

Morning All, Another nice day here but we really could use some rain.

Less than two weeks to the Harley Rendezvous...YEE HAA...anyone else from the thread going????

Lorelei, sorry to hear about your situation and I hope it improves quickly.

Everyone have a good one!!!

I'm in canada, I think its pretty hard to move to the U.S. :) Besides, thats what I'm paying now for rent. I'm needing to find a room mate for $400 a month maximum, which is a typical rate around here.

G'day folks
Nice and cold here but the days are beautifull so I'm still getting plenty of saddle time in :)

Gotta love that

Yeah but the battlefield is getting smaller and smaller they tell me! It is a shame there is a Rock Quarry right next door. Yuck. That is hallowed ground for god's sake.

actually 2 quarries if you count the closed one across the street.

hey found an interesting new restaurant in Warrenton should you be looking for a place that makes great mojitos, lol
of course it does not have the ambiance of the place near Va gateway

There are a lot of jobs here, the economy is booming. I don't know how I could help you, and I think its difficult to go from the U.S to Canada. It would be nice though. I'm not even well enough to search for a room mate, so you'd be on your own for the most part in the job hunt.

Used to go there when it was the old brazilian place. It took a bit of deductive reasoning as well as when I drove by it Sunday on my way to those mojitos that I noticed the parking lot.

Spectacular storms again last night...this time I sat outside to watch them. Of course I have been known to get up on the roof occasinally to watch the distant ones as they come down off the mountains.

And for those that have to work today...sorry. I have the day off finally and plan to enjoy myself, even if it is just to saty home and curl up with a good book.

Well depending on what time you drove by Sunday, I was actually there. We were there from about 4:30 or so to 6:30.

Drove by at 4:45....saw all the big cruisers in the lot..all I could do from stopping and drooling..
Went to Blalocks in Warrenton but they were closed Sunday...sigh looks like they sold that cherry red bike...but had a shadow in a copper and black paint that looked scrumptious...will have to go over Saturday and maybe start some negotiatons...
Course you Harley guys probably can't figure why I would want a Honda....

I was there if you looked close enough or would have stopped. We rode in from Warrenton in fact.

It was a fairly good day for a ride I imagine...a bit overcast. Saw lots of bikes on the road including what I swear was a 46 Indian...what a sweet ride those are...wish I could afford the newer ones...the cream and cranberry paint is nice

So what am I supposed to do? Walk up to the bar...order a beer (a Blue Moon thank you very much...though one can't beat a cold Bud either)...turn around...look everyone over...and then say...Which one of you is the Doc?

Good evening. everyone... :)

Burrr it's a chilly damp evening here in Woodbury. Today was a day off. It was a rainy morning. Then rains stopped and the temperatures dropped. The wind picked up. Not a good day to be out ride'n... :(

Last night was a unusual evening. Got a call from my 20 yo back rest. She had been under a great deal of stress at work and at home. She asked if she could come over. We both had today off from work. Now I have a open door policy with all my friends. If something is bothering you my door is always open to talk. I had a bottle of red wine which I opened to help her unwind. Then some how the scented candles in my living room got light and the light was turned off. We some how ended up snuggled on the couch. To lets spend the night together... We woke up around 10 am and bother are stress levels were dramatically reduced. Let me just say I was one mello son of a bitch... ;) We remained together until noon and she left to go home. So I guess that makes me a dirty sexy senior citizen... Weird shit happens to me all the time! So other than dumping the garbage no a whole hell of a lot got accomplished. They canceled bike night at Corey's due to rain this evening.

Well Hazeny I'll see what I can do about getting some rain over to ya. We have been hit just about every evening for the last week.

Cyikac sorry to hear you missed out on the cherry red Honda. I'm not sure how well your pink helmet with the lace edging is going to go with coppere and black. You may have to re paint the bike... ;) Oh and us Honda rider know why your buying a Honda... ;)

Webbo sounds like you may have a mild winter. Glad to hear your still get'n saddle time and that your able to ride also...

Want to wish everyone a super evening.
