I teach middle and high school American history, government and economics....

And as such, it's my duty to remind you all to VOTE tomorrow.

I love history! However tend to focus on ancient and medieval eras, and from the aspect of military conflicts. I'm also a warbird buff.

But history is sooo important. You can't learn from past mistakes if you don't know your history.

I watch people at work make the same (major) mistakes over and over again because they think they know better, rather than try to find out what went wrong the first time.

I couldn't agree more..history is a subject that needs to be studied and analyzed if mankind has hopes of bettering present and future societies. All too often, each generation thinks they have built the better mouse trap, when the fact of the matter is that they failed to understand why the old one didn't work properly. Rather than repairing what was wrong, they toss out the whole lot and start from scratch. A little time spent mulling over the past can save many troubles.

How about that Oz....a whole post from me and I didn't once mention body parts or sex....well, 'till now anyway.
