wild animal park..........

one of my favorite places..........membership is the best.......come and go as often as you please...........I go to the zoo just ot have lunch.........and those after hours deals are great.........

Hello GB...yes, it is a wonderful night...SD is my paradise for sure. I've only been here just shy of three years, but I just can't see myself living anywhere that I would love more.

GREAT pics, EJ.....I didn't get to go to the Wild Animal Park when I was in SD.....but since I was working at the Old Globe, we used to take our lunches to the zoo every day. One thing I remember vividly was the polar bear....he had a waterfall running down the middle of his pool....and he dove in the water behind the waterfall.....then floated on his back..and somehow floated back as the water cascaded over him....floating to the space behind his waterfall again....whereupon he would dive under the water..to the front of his pool again....and float back...over and over. I always imagined him saying "ahhhhhhh...." as the water from the waterfall showered over him...as it was a VERY hot summer that year....

I watch those guys.........and yea, they're captive, away from their habitat........but they seem at ease......I am real torn about captive animals.......and yet I think the zoological outfit......what ever they call themselves.........does a great job...........

I did very much. Thank you EJ for being thoughtful enough to post them for me. That park looks wonderful, spacious...which is the way it should be if we are going to keep animals in captivity for big 'ole dorks like me to stand around all day watching them.
