Thanks for the get wells on my kid. Just a case of the croup so the pediatrician recomended a steroid shot to alleviate symptoms. My little wonder boy is such a trooper, didn't even flinch when the nurse gave him the shot. I was so proud of him.

He's already feeling better and making a great pest of himself. Life with a 3yo is never dull.:)

EJ - good to see you feel better. Havent seen rain like this in SD? How long you been in SD?

Hiya GLB.....thanks..yes, feeling just fine now.

Ok..so I've only been here three years, but I can't recall when it rained this hard for two days in those three years.

I don't care for the rain....try having hair as long and as thick as mine in this weather!! It ain't purty, I'm telling ya! :)

You think yours is bad EJ? Just be glad it isn't that thick and down past yout butt like mine is!! Guck is a word I often associate with it when referring to it, especially in this weather! :p

happy evening all....

I had a Yucko day...

bad weather and to top that off royally pissed at my nasty manager that downgraded my supervisor's assesment of my job performance for the last year from a 4.5 to a 3.5 (1 being- kick em out the door the lazy lout, 3 being- just does their job and 5 -being perfect.) ARRRGGHHH..I worked my buns off this year and I take my patients welfare to heart.... and for 8 months we were working half staffed, down 2 RN's from the usual 4... the other RN got the same treatment... but it's still frustrating to hear a line from your boss... " Well if I gave you a 4.5 you wouldn't have anything to strive for next year."...Well what the fuck was I striving for this year? Yes, I respectfully told her that she was full of shit and that I would consider whether I wanted to be around next year...

I feel better now that I have vented...

So: RedLynn... glad to hear that your little one is better... :)

Ukin sorry to hear that you have been under the weather :( - get well soon....

Nice to see you GLB... the 10 was no picnic today either...

nice to see everyone here.. Dr. H., LMT, Lance , EJ, Cherrie and all ...

Hugs and  's to all...

Morning Cherrie, and the rest of the gang.

Missy and EJ, I'll second your thougts on the white chocolate and the dark semi sweet, and would add truffles, milk chocolate, and those little liqueur filled chocolate bottles you see around the holidays to the list. Yum!

Sugar, sorry to hear your Wednesday wasn't the greatest. I hope your OT is much better.

Cherrie, there are several feline critters that inhabit my home, sometimes much to my chagrin. Their fur if everywhere! I think they need the treatment depicted in your link.

Ukin, long time no see here. Hang in there. I know the work, work, work, and no paly routine gets really old fast, but at least it pays the bills....or most of them anyway.

SSK, unfortunately, your place of employmeny sounds like far too many that are out there. It's all about the business bottom line, and the hell with the loyal employees who do the actual work in the trenches. [sigh]

To all those who are under the weather, or who have family members under the weather, get well soon.

Have a great OT gang!!!

Morning SSK, didn't mean to ignore you, looks like you were posting while my slow fingers were typing my post.

Happy Thrusting Thursday

Hiya, Californicators. It's so nice here in the southland where it never rains..... err... but when it does, it pours. :D

Sorry to hear about the sick kiddos. That's no fun at all. Hope they get better real soon.

Ukin, man get a grip. There is no point in ranting and raving against the elements. They don't hear you. And just think, this rain could be snow or freezing rain, which is infinitely worse than our little showers.

Now taxes. Yea, you can hate taxes. LOL. We are hoping that we won't have to pay again this year. That is the best we can hope for. Claim zero all year long and have extra taken out and maybe we won't owe. We have our fingers crossed. We're still paying last year's taxes (only about 5 more years of payments to go and we won't owe the IRS or Calif. But by then, they'll stick it to us for more, I'm sure.)

Yea, hate taxes if you like, but don't hate the weather. Forces of nature are beyond our influence and we are mere spectators of Nature's vast power.

EJ, thanks for thinking of me home alone this weekend. I was going to work on my deck, but instead will do some indoor projects. That will keep me busy until my honey returns on Monday. And you know that Coming Home Again sex is always great. :p

Now I forget who complained about a bad review. Sorry for that. Try getting a 1.5% raise this past year and already being told there will be NO raises this year (2003), because we must help California recover from their bamboozled budget (ie giving tax money to the rich). And as far as your company caring about you? Forget it. There is no social contract anymore between workers and companies. We are a resource, to be used, abused and tossed aside when we're no longer useful. I've learned this the hardway.

So again, I'm sorry to hear they screwed you, but it is par for the course. Trust nobody in management. Trust no company owners. Realize that you're a resource only, not a part of the company. It'll hurt less the next time they shaft you. But unless I get labled an old Communist, I'll shut up. Just remember that at my age, I've earned my right to a certain degree of cynicism.

So enough of that. Let's get on with some thrusting. :p
